Deathwing hands down for his ego. He is a smooth criminal 8)

Not to mention being about as manipulative as it gets.

He's someone who actually convinced the Horde he was their ally, but did precious little for them (he basically just made things the Horde was already capable of a bit easier) and gained the immensely powerful Skull of Gul'dan in return.

Plus, there's the whole Daval Prestor charade, too.

I have to say, Deathwing is a very compelling villain.

Arthas also is a character I love to hate, but he just lacks the sheer destructive power Deathwing has.

Edit: Oh damn, forgot Kil'jaeden.

From the ones on the list, I think I'd go with the Demon Lord. He's even more of a manipulator than Deathwing, plus he's incredibly powerful. Since there isn't really all that much known about Sargeras's character, I find Kil'jaeden a better villain.

I'd have to say Kil'Jaeden followed by Illidan. I love the suspense that was created when getting to both of these bosses. Especially the way KJ's room was setup and oh do I need to mention his epic death animation?

Deathwing is the longest running villian in WC. This dragon was there before anything happened between the Orcs and Humans. He is by far the biggest villan in WC and in Cata when he comes down something big better take his place cause those are some big ass shoes to fill right there.

I too am going to have to go with Kael'thas. Ignoring the craziness of Magister's Terrace, he was actually a pretty well-developed villain, with both minimal ridiculousness and sense of Blizzard trying way to hard to make him a badass (see: Lich King).

I wouldn't class it as a villain, but the way that C'Thun de-moralizes you while you are battling your way through Ahn'Qiraj is just awesome.

Then again, Yogg-Saron is the one who corrupted Neltharion, and if my hunch is correct, had a hand in causing Arthas' madness via Frostmourne. (See Frostmourne Cavern in Dragonblight and the crapload of Saronite that is in there, that and the shall we say, animosity, between the Forgotten One and the Lich King.)

There are better ways to go about getting money... as soon as he chose to murder, steal and harass innocent people then he " chose " to become a bad guy... :-\
