Yeah this Oathbreaker is ridiculously good (very close to 2013 AOTY for me), and it serves my current sludge fetish very nicely.

More like hardcore/screamo than metal, but definitely a very worthy record for metallers. If you like bands like Converge or Deafheaven, this is a must-listen.

edit: nvm, I remember some people dropping that name when they said how Deafheaven copied that band.

They do sound kinda similar, but so do hundreds if not thousands other bands that implement screamo/hardcore to fast-paced rock/metal. However, the similarity between them becomes more obvious concerning the way both bands use shoegaze.



I think I may have posted this one already, not sure though. Anyway, it's definitely one of this year's highlights so far.

That Chelsea Wolfe record is better doom than the majority of doom albums in recent memory.

Bumping with one of the best eurothrash records of the 90's.



edit: I don't know which is actually better though, the original or the remaster. The remaster sounds kinda tighter overall though.

She sounds like Hope Sandoval, I approve.

A very weird post-rock/black metal/noise mixture that reminds me a bit of bands like The Body and Murmuure. Their latest is a very likable record tbh.
