POLL: What healer has the best survivability? (Hardest to kill)

I purposely left out Holy Priest because votes for them are obviously joke votes.

Just wondering because I have an 80 Paladin, Druid and Shaman with a 75 Priest, and would like to know which would do better in PvP. I read Druids are pretty hard to kill for a melee because of their instant heals that are unkickable. But not sure if they are the number one overall though.

Depends on what you are talking about: arenas or who is the best battleground hero?

As for battleground hero, probably resto druids.

Resto druid is the most faceroll.

If you want to be hard to kill and ever be considered good you should go with the disc priest, or maybe the shaman.

    its defniitly druids..

nearly unkillable if they are hottet, even if you focus them with 3 dps...

the only way to kill a resto druid is to make a good switch on him, while hes not hottet...

Holy paladins. No doubts after the resillience buff. 889 scourgestrike crit in my 5/5 relentness gear, yeah balanced! . Aswell thoose 10 k holy shocks that outheal a gargoyle + strangulate. And i see holy paladins have very good survability against many other classes aswell and have no problem with the mana regenration.

the thing is you are dk....

srry, but you are just underpowered... i just got 1 relenteless set piece and i go on 60 minute fights with dk´s without event dropping under 95% mana without using my divine plea...

if you play vs warriors you will see, why a druid has the better survibility..

And you'd be the one to know how to handle a priest? Can barely handle a dictionary afaik.

I have been playing priest since launch and played though every season arenas and bg's as disc. In s7 i thought i would roll a resto druid for fun becoz they seemed to have the most fun and be the most versatile.

    My Priest:
    http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...aedenar&cn=Evo

    My Druid:
    http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...enar&cn=Nirrax

    Druid advantages compare to Priest:
    - Better mana regen from Spirit / MP5 / Spell cost
    - Better mana regen from Innervate
    - Immune to or can escape 50% - 70% of CC's
    - More armor
    - Stealth if needed
    - Cyclone = best CC in game by far + roots

    - And by far the moat OP thing about Resto Druids is their HoT's. With the recent spell power buff to arena sets, and resilience buffs, my druid has reached enough SP and Res to be able to keep himself and others alive usually without having to hard cast at all.

    Conclusion IMO:
Geared Resto Druids are OP in BG's. They are incredibly easy to play, and take next to no skill to do well with. Any person that does well with a resto druid should not consider themselves a decent healer or pvp'er. That being said I also believe Holy Paladins are pretty talentless aswell, but not the the same degree Resto druids are. Doing well and staying alive as a Shaman is rewarding. But by far the highest skill cap healer is a priest. Although they usually need backup to be very effctive.

Depends imo. for example a combo of discPriest+mage would own the shit out of a holy paladin.
and a combo of.... a combo of...of.....actually no combo can beat a resto druid easily.

Re: POLL: What healer has the best survivability? (Hardest to kill)

in bg, I had like 3~4 dps on me (arcane mage, affliction lock, SP, and DK after awhile) for about 5 min or more and I had no trouble keeping myself up... (I really hope they had bad gears.. other wise.... /facepalm)

oh and I'm holy paladin with mix of furious and relentless

Re: POLL: What healer has the best survivability? (Hardest to kill)

wow i agree that resto druid is unkillable, get 1400 resilience and go to a bg and watch 5 dps hitting u while u do jumping jacks and heal urself

rofl @ who said cyclone = best cc

  19. #19

Re: POLL: What healer has the best survivability? (Hardest to kill)

Well Cyclone is the best CC.

Ive used to to win matches with such ease a few times. Its technically the only spell / ability in the game that is a 100% mortal strike. As an example of use. I will just give a quick 3v3 situation. Your team is trying to kill a dps. The other team has no trinkets left. 3 cyclones on the healer, means the target is probably gonna die. IF the target does not die. Then he will have alot of heals inc on him. Tell you team your going to cyclone him And it will give your team a chance to get back the short cooldowns they have just used to get him low.(mindblast, sw:death, etc).

If the above does not work you have still probably achieved to things. When the healer is being cc'd and his partners being nuked, if he has a cooldown, such and natures swiftness, holy shock or penance, he 90% of the time will us that cooldown instantly as he comes out of the cyclone. And it will land on a cyclone'd target .

And if he doesnt use cooldowns straight away, if you have done enough pressure to the dps, then you will probably force him to panic heal. He will keep his partner alive, but usually uses alot more effort and mana to achieve it, and may even run into a stupid position to do so.

This ofc is just my opionion. And i wasnt saying druids are the strongest cc class. Frost Mages, prot wars, and DK's have alot better cc in total. But none have a spell that can be used as effectively as Cyclone.

Ofc its one of the few cc's that cant be dispelled. paladins cant even bubble out of it ><

Re: POLL: What healer has the best survivability? (Hardest to kill)

I have a Holy Pally, Tree and a Disc, and I BG a lot.

For BG hero my vote goes to Tree even my pally is way better geared. For duel my pally is almost invincible against any melee even slightly undergeared. Disc will run with a risk to be killed and will OOM faster but Disc can kill better and can mana burn which turns the table fast in some cases. Disc + 2 crappy dps wins over tree + 1 dps much faster than holy pally

to kill them you need some combo of focused fire, MS debuff, silence, dispell and mana burn. Mindless dps will usually lead to loses.

In BG against pugs it's trees because they can have hots rolling so there will be more time to respond, noobs running with even greatest holy pally can be blown up b4 the heal goes off. And trees have more throughput than Discs. After shield the disc will have much harder time to keep a guy with MS debuff up than a tree.
