    Dreamwalker and Pallies

i got this idea from a different thread but that one was only geared toward holy pallies. This includes all of us.

A few things, LoH as prot in this can be pretty useful on this fight. I pop my trinket and get to about 60k HP, if I pop wings also and LoH Valrithria, thats a huge heal. I know will be tanking mobs and doing other things, but if the adds arent hitting super hard there is no need to save LoH or even worry about the 30secs between the use of wings and bubblewall. I assume the fight wont go on long enough to use LoH again, but its still a good use of it.

For ret pallies, I'm wondering if the heal from DS will also heal Valithria? With the 2pc bonus, this is potentially a large amount of heals throughout the fight. Especially if SoC is going to be used, seeing as its not a stagnant boss fight but multiple mobs at a time. That said, our dps could be pretty ridiculous on this fight too. Not to mention, if you want to get the full use out of being a pally, you could hit her with your instant FoLs too. There is never a shortage of AoW procs, especially with the amount of DSing we'll be doing.

For holy pallies, and this was mentioned in the other thread, if the tank dmg isnt huge, then having 2 holy pallies in the raid super spamming Valithria with epically large holy lights will be badass.

As a paladin, I'm looking forward to this fight, no matter what spec I am.

am i supposed to be glyphed for DS and specced into divinity for this fight?

and theres also the rng factor of it actually hitting valthira instead of you or one of the other 24 people in your raid group

I guess by DS he means potentially some heals, not large amount =P

I was thinking if I ever get to this level, I'd prob beacon the boss (dragon) and heal on tanks or raid

Beacon tanks and sit in the middle healing the boss

assuming your excecution on the boss is 100% perfect. yes.

when the dragon takes no damage throughout the encounter, i want to see a screenshot or video of the entire fight

She was in her last PTR iteration. Something's changed since then?

As for Divine Storm, that's a smart-heal. I don't think it'll target her a lot once the fight's started out proper.

    DS heals only party/raid members

Well, beacon of light says "party or raid members" and they're saying you could beacon her, so who knows.

This. She is not in your party - so she won't be healed. They add special rules for beacon because it is a holy paladins main heal spell, it already worked at Razuvious in naxx, the recruits are not in your party but are beaconable (aren't they?). I doubt you will notice DS heal if it does (which I doubt)

My understanding was that the Razuvious adds just become pets of the people mind controlling them, thus technically in your party.

    Re: Dreamwalker and Pallies

in regards to DS...the mechanics of how this fight is supposed to interact with the raid, DS should be able to heal her, but given that it is a smart heal, it will always heal people with the lowest hit points. Now whether it goes off % or total health, i dont recall off the top of my head, but if it is total health, then obviously DS would only hit her assuming the whole raid was topped off, and even given if it goes by %, the amount of healing would be pretty low. But in reality, other than pallies tossing their LoH on her, if you aren't a healer, id be more focused on doing your role, and let the healers have fun filling up her health pool.

/cast [target=Valithria Dreamwalker] Flash of Light

I'm going to try to beat healers.

    Re: Dreamwalker and Pallies

I guess I got a little too excited about this fight. It was very late when I started my original post.

If DS works, great. Hopefully Beacon works on her. I am still looking forward to this fight. So far, I really haven't done much as a tank. Just sit there and tank the bosses, at least now I'll get some activity picking up adds and such. Can't wait for tonight.
