is 37.4K unbuffed HP enough for toravon25?

the new patch has introduced Toravon the ice watcher. i have already done 10man mode as a tank, but i am having problems getting into 25 player mode.

so far, only a few have started a group. the main issue is that people are truly ignorant and asking 5.2K GS. i absolutely loathe gearscore, but i suppose my gear is good enough for 25man.

my armory currently is in ret spec and gear, so i can't link it.

so, is 37.4K HP unbuffed enough for toravon the ice watcher on 25 player difficulty?

My last offtank had about 42k buffed, so you should be fine.

This is more of a DPS "race" anyway due to soft enrage.

The tanks I had in 10 man didn't even have T9 and the tanks in 25 were with 1 piece t10 and the rest just mediumly toc geared so it shouldn't be a prob.

The boss gives a lot of leanway

I would taunt at 3 stacks for 25m

Just make sure the frostbite debuff has worn off of you before you taunt from the other tank.
You really want to have the boss dead before he casts the 5th stack of whiteout

It really is a easy fight and as long as all dps can push at minimum of 3.5k damage it is a absolute walk in the park.

I got in on my 4th alt tank with 31k and we did fine, no reason for you to not be able to go, especially considering the fact that its practically just a nuke, all tanks have to do is taunt :/

As everyone's said, it more relies on healers keeping you up and dps not taking 5 hours. If you have good dps, you can do it. But if you have that hunter in the corner named legolass thinking arcane shot>explosive shot... no. If they really want you having 5.2k+ GS, that's BS you don't need it. same as asking a dps his/her GS, you could have 5.6k and not know how to play. for example this 4.7k rogue i found who does 7k. Anyways, GL mate. shouldn't be a problem unless you unfortunately ask the wrong people who live off numbers>skill

Or atleast, my offtank had 36k unbuffed when we did it.
Then again, I'm quite overgeared (I was maintanking) so I guess that compensates for a little.
We let the debuff stack to 11 on me, after engaging, before the offtank would taunt and I would remove my debuffs with bubble (you can also bubble the whiteout away, and for all you dps out there, you can iceblock and cloak the whiteout). We minimized the time the offtank was actually tanking by doing this.
Just get non retarded dps and 6 decent healers.
The raid was a pug and we did it on the 2nd attempt after an 11% wipe.

as a tank you are fine. The only problem with this boss is it requires ranged DPS to not be bad. All ranged DPS are dumb.

okay, i have tried this as a DPS, and we failed. that might be because we only had 5 healers and had to rush because the RL made the raid too late (we started trash 20 min before WG). also, half the DPS was retarded and could not pull 3.5K DPS. we only had 1 above 5K (which was me...).

luckily, i'm not saved because the boss did not die, so no sweat.

but i do know that every time i do 25 man raids, people that don't target switch wipe us in VoA. on Emalon, adds are not taken down. same on toravon.
