Is it fair?

Okay, we all know that there were some bugs at the patchday where people could get an insane amount of frost emblems.
Now ... on my realm there are just a very few people who actually had the bug.

One of them is this guy.

Lets see what he's got:
- Gloves
- Shoulders
- Kilt
- Helmet
- Trinket

According to his activities he didn't loot ANY of the items from Toravon.
So thats 95+95+60+60+60 = 370 Emblems of Frost.

In EU we got the patch on 9 of December.
Since then 62 days went by, thats a maximum amount of 124 Emblems of Frost

40 from Weekly Raid
49 from 10 Player
98 from 25 Player
6 Emblems from the 5 Man Dungeons

= ~317 Emblems of Frost at maximum. (didn't count minibosses inside ICC)

Thats an advantage of roughly 50 Emblems.
It's huge.


Why didn't Blizzard remove those exploited Badges? Why doesn't Blizzard ban those people?
It's like with the bugged Lich King encounter. The people who did it obviously knew that it was a bug, but continued joining random heroics, but nothing at all happened. Cool.

Am I supposed to accept that they were lucky bastards and I'm the poor guy?

99 kills 3.3 bosses = 198 emblems - in ICC 10 every boss drop 2 emblem of frost - toravon drop 2
124 from daily - as you wrote
45 from weekly every week

at the end guy earn 367 emblem of frost, HONEST NO BUG WAY

and + 6 EoF for Inside the Frozen Citadel quest chain

373 at the end

you just wrong at math, my advice to you - learn elementary school math, no spit on Blizzard

I saw people with 3 pieces of t10 on day 2.
they exploited the bug.
Come to think of it though, I haven't seen them since...do I smell a ban hammer?

Well, 1BVNFZMsJ5, you've could say that more friendly, since it did not have anything to do with my math.
It was more the confusion whether 10 mans drop 1 or 2 emblems per boss.

Its true people did exploit the bug, and got free badges. But to be fair a lot of people probably didn't realize they were getting frosts, or at the very least ~10% of them, just not paying attention and what not. SO is it fair to ban them along with the people who did it intentionally?

They're not going to rewind that many people. Every second person knew about it, and abused it.

Usually it resulted in about 20-30 more badges, so who cares. Blizzard themselves said everyone would be rolling in them soon enough, so it makes no difference.

If it were higher end gear, or something of greater importance, then maybe they'd care more.
