Will u get that lvl 1 felling again in cata ?

I dont know about you but i for one enjoyed lvling to lvl 20 on my first char way way more then i loved SW/uld hm/icc/arena or any other quality things this game bought to us....
It was just that "open world felling" my first char was a tauren warr and after playing WIII and WIII TFT i always wonderd how mulgore will look like ??? i think i played on that char for 1 day til lvl 9 if i remember well just to explore mulgore
Then i started my main char ( a human ) that i still play 2day and it was the same ......i was like WTF this is fucking nice when i first enterd SW
I oviusly had no clue what dungeon where since it was the first mmo i played nethir what healer dps or tank meaned :P
It took me like 1 year to fully explore azeroth...... i wasnt in a hurry playing i think i spent like 1 day played per lvl just to ..... enjoy the game duel do stupid quest instance
When i dinged 60 i was so excited about some lvl 60 only raid/grup quest
Now its all like 10 teritory u need to do all the quest fast and meet evry faction then farm rep with em to get ur ench so u can raid in a serious guild........bleh :P
Any of u wonder if cata will bring that open undiscover world felling again ?

The world will change! Sure a lot of the zones will look different but probably feel the same, but I'm looking forward to the new conceptual zones they're making. The feeling of entering Deelholm, or travelling through the Abyssal Maw, should be great
I'll be trying both the Goblin and Worgen zones too.

Well of course when you first play your going to get all pumped and hyped up.World of Warcraft was at its best when everything seems hard to obtain. To be honest i never complained that i couldn't get epics in vanilla.

I'm looking forward to re rolling to a worgen and getting that " i don't know where to go feeling again."

I'm glad everything is purple now. People put FAR too much weight on the colour of the item in Vanilla/BC/early Wrath rather than the itemization.

I think the redesign of some zones will give experienced players a sense of nostalgia while still harboring that 'discovery' feeling, but in terms of making people slow down at all, nah probably not. Most people will just rush to 85, but maybe a few will take the time to truly appreciate the changes to zones.

what.. the feeling that you level every 5 minutes?? nowdays when you do random dungeons it can be very fun! imagine when Cata is released!

I'd level a bit slower than most people due to reading the quests, trying to understand the storylines while keeping up with the rest.
When you hit 85 is when most shit will happen. Farm awesomite to level blacksmithing and it's those times that you discover new crap as you fly over the new countryside

Well, maybe the new level requirements for a zone will bring some change..

the feeling where everything in the game seems new to u. and all you wanna do is be like a little kid a feed your curiosity by exploring everything. i remember when i first played the game i made a nightelf and when i got to darnassus i just rotated my camera every in awe of how beautiful the place was. same goes for SW and IF

its a feeling that you get when you first play any rpg video game and what gets me so into them.

I hope so, I spent my noob days wishing I was wearing all the cool armour these people with skulls had when they attacked goldshire. The ones that would kill me in one shot while I bask in their glory. Yet now, with the rogue, mage and priest at 80, there's no sense of awe that I long for. I look forward to seeing the foundations my knowledge is built on being changed in different ways, very much so.

I can't wait for cata, or any expansion for that matter, just for the simple feeling thats described here. the one where you don't know any part of what you're doing, but it feels so amazing. Also combined with the music (which is AMAZING) and the landscapes, it's just so incredible when you're not used to seeing it every day.

That combined with the nostalgia of when youre exploring new things & you remember this is how you were 80 levels ago, and the great feelings all rush back to you again. it's wonderful.

Somehow I doubt it. The idea has changed too much for it to be possible. It used to be about playing with others, taking it slow and most purples or actually even blue felt like you really got something big that would last at least a while. Now it's like a flashy video game you jump into when you have a free hour and when you log off, you do so with a bagful or purples. There's very little depth.. or need to actually even communicate with others to get something done.

Cata will probably bring some nostalgia but things that won't change leveling being too fast from 1 to 60. The increased exp+heirlooms will stay. Also the new LFG, while I love the idea, you don't even need to find the dungeon entranc now. It used to be a huge part of the experience. Finding Deadmines, doing the escort and then getting a quest there for an amazing blue reward. With these new additions it is just too tempting, especially for new players to use that tool and breeze through levels without even seeing half of the game.

Plan for me was to change faction and race of my drenei shaman to goblin shaman but i decided that i will lvl up orc shaman now and change his race later only couse i want to see old azeroth for the last time as strange as it sound. But for sure i will make fresh goblin and worgen to see their starting locations. I think that nomather what if you like lvling characters (no not alts where you pour thousand of gold in to the character buy it 20 slot bags and epick items for lvl 40 waiting for him, im talking about from 0 to hero alone, old good first timer) its still gonna feel good, and to be honest i think its gonna be even better becouse its gonna be fresh experience, dont belive that people lvling 80-85 will have alot of time to see old location again, except flying above them.

I miss the feeling of my first 40-man raid more than that of my first level. Walking into MC for the first time and killing the two giants at the front, then seeing just how big the place was when you look out over the bridge.

I had that 'level 1 feeling' when the Burning Crusade was out. It was so new... and so many people levelling together And you didn't know when the next patch woulda come nor much else... it was a new unknown and fascinating adventure.

I even enjoyed the pre-WotLK patch, it has been one of my best times in WoW, we had achieved everything we wanted as guild on our little server, retri paladins were terribly OP in arena, there was a greatly designed world event... but when WotLk was out I just wanted to quit when I was 71 already... or before, lol. Boring stuff.

I'll try Cataclysm but I don't expect to have anything even remotely close to that 'level 1 feeling'. I wanna see it because I am interested on the game. As you can be interested on a good writer that started to write shit.
