Get Power Auras and configure it to show a big shiny effect when you've no diseases on your target.

as unholy, keeping your diseases up is fundamental to your DPS. however, i first apply them, but then i start tunnelvisioning and generally forget to reapply them in time. i primarily run heroics, so for trash (that dies before the diseases run out) it does not matter, but for most bosses, i tend to lose a lot of DPS.

Get an addon like from deathknight.info. It tracks runes, diseases, also tracks pestilience.
Just set it up somewhere where you look all the time and you'll see the bars that represent your diseases.
It's a light and small addon that works just perfect.
(and no I'm in no way connected to the website, I just love the addon)
