Patch 4.0?

We know that 4.0 will come just before realse but ive got a couple of questions?

1.When the patch comes will we be able to get the new flying thing like cold weather flying as we know thats coming something like another 1000g?(aready stocking up?)

2. When it comes what will happen to the people who are in the middle of the barrens? will they fall to their deaths when they log in ?

3. Since flying is now availible in azeroth what will happen to the death knight area ppl could come in and buy their mount ! and as a death knight i dont want that to happen like the dks can only use death gate to get their or when other classes come in their they get teleported out by someone?

4. last but not least what talents do u think cata will bring as i will get my rogue to 80 by then! Hope shamens get a abilty called lightning templar(oxhorn ref) it gets a free epic flying mount can shoot thunder bolts out of its eyes and has 5 stuns each on diffrent cooldowns!

I think that's going to be like the new zones: requires Cataclysm to experience to prevent people without the expansion from seeing the all-new 78-85 zones.

They'll probably be given a Parachute effect so they can land safely and hearth.

3. Since flying is now availible in azeroth what will happen to the death knight area ppl could come in and buy their mount ! and as a death knight i dont want that to happen like the dks can only use death gate to get their or when other classes come in their they get teleported out by someone?

Either Thalnor will only sell it to death knights or there'll be invisible walls around Acherus so only death knights can use the flight path or Death Gate in.

More utility/fun/indirect buff talents since the must-have stuff like Avoidance, Anticipation, and Toughness are being rolled into talent tree mastery.

1. I'm fairly confident you won't have some heirloom training book you can buy to just get Azeroth flight right off the bat. In fact, I suspect they'll be "mean" and make us wait until 85. They made us wait till 77 for northrend flight, but since Cata is only 5 levels, I'm guessing we're stuck. Actually though, it does make me wonder how they'll handle flight in the 80-85 content, or if that will simply be counted in the "Azeroth Flight" ability.

2. IIRC, when you do a faction transfer, you get teleported to your (new) faction capitol, rather than being left where you last logged. It's possible that this could be the same solution used for patch 4.0. That said, since a world event is most definitely going to occur, it's also marginally possible that a phasing will take place, where you don't see it until you complete some new quest, but since that could potentially result in an alt who never does the quest and thus sees old-world Barrens forever, I'm guessing a "port you to your racial capitol" solution is most likely to occur.

3. I don't imagine you'll see people flying on their own flying mounts to Acheron unless they're 85. That said, this question can really apply to just about any area of Azeroth; people will be able to fly over ANYTHING. Durotar's Valley of Trials, Elwynn Forest's Northshire Abbey, any leveling zone inbetween... You could create a brand new level 1 character and log in to an 85 of the opposite faction sitting there on his flying mount. In fact, I fully expect this to happen.

4. We don't know anything about talents this early in the game, other than that you'll have the room to select the more "fun" ones. I'm not answering the rest. XD

On-topic, there's really a lot we don't know.

1) The new flying thing will almost definitely be Cataclysm-specific or require at least level 81 so that you have to buy the expansion to experience it.

2) They'll probably either be hearthed or taken to the nearest inn. Again, no one knows yet for sure.

3) Archerus will probably stay an exclusive place to Death Knights. If other classes can enter, the flying mount will certainly stay DK-only.

4) Your idea is pretty stupid, but talents are certainly going to be more interesting. They're getting rid of boring +stat talents and making them more fun overall. I'd like to think there will be a wide range of "acceptable" talent builds, though I doubt we'll ever stray from having one or two "cookie-cutter" builds.

It is possible to get inside Acherus currently with a little bit of exploration know-how and the mount cannot be purchased by non-DK classes.

For much the same reason you can't get runeforged weapons as a non-DK. It's another perk to encourage players to try a new class out and stick with it.

Blizz already stated it won't be free. There will be a quest line, a fee, a level requirement, some combination of those.

The Death Knight issue is already fixed. It's a phased area.

Not once you complete "Where Kings Walk" and the Horde equivalent. Then, Acherus is very much within the Eastern Plaguelands proper.

- Probably not. Think that will come with the expansion pack and on lv.83 / 85.

- You'll be placed to the nearest Inn, I guess.

- The mount will probably get the requirement - "Class: Death Knight". Like some items got "Class: Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight".

EDIT - As for the mount? Acherus is a phased zone for our eyes only. Note that you cannot jump out of the Citadel even though the railings are really low? The mount is exclusive to DKs, I have seen someone say "why not?" and to that I say; It makes about as much sense as a Hunter taming a Druid in Flight Form and mounting up on him every time he wants to do a spot of herbing. Undead mount for the undead class.

In the pre-Cata patch they're installing the new Azeroth as well as the pre-Cata event that explains how Deathwing skullhumped the planet by waking up.
