Race Changing, Troll, Orc or Tauren?

I play Elemental/Resto. A few of my friends play Horde on a different server, and are transferring over to my server on Horde side, I am Alliance. I want something to benefit Elemental and Resto, I know Tauren won't, all it has is a Stun and more life, so it's between Orc and Troll. What do you guys think? I'd like some input from personal experience if possible. Thanks.

Since you're ele/resto i'd suggest picking up a troll (due to berserking racial, which is the best for casters)

Anyone know how much SP Orc racial gives at level 80? The tooltip doesn't say any percentages or anything.

its not spellpower, it's spell damage. and i believe it is around 150.
basically:
tauren= pvp resto/ele
orc = enh/ele
troll = resto/ele

so for you being resto ele da voodoo shuffle is for you

there no way it that little at 80...unless it changed but at 65 or so it was like 230 i think...(that was like last year tho...)

Troll:
Berserking = 20% haste for 10 secs.

((20 * 32.79) * 10 )/180 = 36.43 haste overall (a tad over 1%)

Orc:
"Increases melee attack power by 322 and your spell damage by 163. Lats 15 sec."

For ele/resto that'd be (163 * 15) / 120 = 20.375 sp (overall increase)

And for enh it'd be 5 expertise (8.2 * 5) = 41 experise rating + 20.375 sp + (322 * 15) / 120 = 40.25 AP

To summarise the bonuses in "gems" a troll shaman (ele/resto/enh) would get what equals ~2 Epic haste gems.
A orc ele/resto shaman would get ~1 blue quality SP gem
And an orc enh shammy would get 2 epic expertise gems, 1 blue sp gem and 1 epic AP gem

Enhancement; Orc, hands down.
For everything else, there's Troll. An even easier choice.

instead of rolling something for the racials, take what appeals to you best visually. even assuming you dont care about the optic of your char at all, in cataclysm racials will see a rework.

maybe tauren will be the best shaman casters in cata, who knows.
