So now that the Gnomes will finaly get their capital back, I was wondering what will happen to the Gnomeregan dungeon.

Will it be phased and still runnable, or will it be removed?

Well if I had to take a guess I'd say that the dungeon will still be there. Think RFC for org and stocks for SW.

It's a battle for the surface levels of Gnomeregan, so I assume the instance is the 'lower areas'.

That's what I was figuring too; otherwise there would be no reason to specify "the recapture of Gnomeregan's surface", they could have just said "the recapture of Gnomeregan".

I don't mind Gnomer and I feel like I'm one of a very small minority that doesn't find it annoying.

No way; they'll want everyone to experience it, especially high-level characters.

They'd probably just remove some of the mobs at the beginning and keep the portal open

they didnt take back the whole place, if I had to guess the instance part will still be there, but everything before the instance will be the city. ^-^

I guess it'll be made useless and renamed Broken Goblin Transponder or whatever.

possibly, part of the city is retaken, or phasing. But phasing out a entire city from lowbies?
