turn off bloom effects, maybe? I know that works for the drunk blurring...

also, some zones in WoW are just foggy - I see it a lot in duskwood, swamp of sorrows, dustwallow marsh... and up near the top of that one mountain in Barrens, too...

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

Go into the video options - there's an option at the bottom (a checkbox) for bloom effects.

Seems to me the normal fog effect mixed with the low graphics settings.

    [ ] Specular Lightning [ ] Death effect
    [ ] Full-screen glow effect [ ] Projected Textures

    all 4 are turned off.

Because of my old grapic card, i cant play while this fogg is going on, it drains my fps to -1 / +2 isnt there anyway to get rid of it?

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

What is the "Weather Intensity" slider set to in the Effects part of Video?

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

Well as Djanco said, the only thing that will fix it is turning up your viewing distance.

But that won't improve performance it'll only decrease it

exactly this, nothing else. simply set the slider for that distance to the right to solve that

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

Again, i already have low fps, turning up my view will only decrease it even more.

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

    Worth the try.
    example.
impr viewing distance by 25 feet, decrease FPS by 20
Fog is gone: improve FPS 50.

    gain = win.

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

maybe you should think about getting a new pc

the fog looks miserable because of your low video settings . if you could turn them up this would actually look quite nice!

but with your current pc you are stuck with this situation .

iam pretty sure that you cannot turn of the fog

    Re: Anoying fog/weather effects

It's your veiw distance. The fog cuts out what you have set yourself to not be able to see. If you can't turn it up without getting worse framrates, you can't do anything else.

Get DynPerf from Curse. Will crank your settings up/down based on your fps. Best addon evar.

By the time you posted in this thread and rebooted your pc the weather warmed up sufficiently to get rid of the fog.
