Xferring to the horde. What race?

Is troll still the way to go or should I orc it up.
Please also mention why I should pick one

Rogues - Orc/Troll/BE are all good choices, Orc will most likely fare a little better

Druid - Durr, Tauren

The Orcs Bloodfury spell which gives AP and SP, their expertise with axes/fists, and extra damage from pets will make it the superior race PvE wise for almost every dps class.

Trolls only have the 20% haste cooldown for 10 seconds which isnt that attractive.

This is all in terms of PvE

What kind of spreadsheets are you reading that generalize the entire games worth of classes into one race being better. Even in ICC 25 heroic gear orcs will be better than trolls for a lot of classes and specs. Don't give bad advice.

OT: Are you looking to PvE or PvP? There's a few differences there.

PvE: Troll or Orc
PvP: Orc or Tauren (maybe Belf if you run into a lot of spell cleaves)

Your information on shaman is incorrect. Blood Fury only gives spell DAMAGE, not bonus healing. Troll is best for resto. Even though of course, this is the hunter forums.

any melee class is going to benefit from orcs axe expertise a lot with the exception of a mut rogue obviously. and tauren is flat out the best tank, 750 hp is basicly unbeatable as far as racials go for tanks. taurens will soon be able to be all tanking classes, as they are getting access to paladins soon.

You missed the mark a few times.

To answer the OP, trolls are the best hunters for a variety of reasons. Berserking is a great CD to use and becomes even better when you go MM. Bow Specialization is amazing considering the best hunter weapons in game are infact bows. Beast slaying is a fun little bonus that doesn't hurt to have. That and that trolls are the master race and tusks > no tusks.

Thats like 0.15% dps in high end gear, I would gladly sacriface that amount to be able to choose a toon I actually like to look at instead of something I hate the looks of.

I would be ignore racials completely since they're getting redesigned for Cataclysm. You won't be seeing one class benefit from a racial more than another, anymore. Just look at the Goblin and Worgen racials. They're designed so every class can benefit from each one equally.

That said, I'd roll a level one toon of each race and see which one appeals the most to you. Check what they're like when shooting a ranged weapon, fighting melee, running, walking, jumping, dancing, laughing. Check the lore of each. Pick whichever one you think looks and sounds the best. Given, you can do this or not but, I'd advise against choosing strictly on racials since they're all set to change. I've couldn't even tell you the racials of most races since I couldn't care less what they are...I think I actually have some of the worst race/class combinations when it comes to racials. :P

Plus, like someone said before, racials won't be much of a factor anymore
come Cataclysm as they will be redesigned and balanced.
