that mage doing 11k, while you're doing 10,500 dps is probably going to as much if not more than you with the debuff.

na feral has like 27% threat reduction? while mages have 40%, if the dps is that close a kitty would get the bite. i don't think it's worth lowering your effective dps by biting (your dps would obviously be higher, but relative to the situation), but i do sometimes nab the bite with rips.
