How to counter this combo :(

Me and a friend have been playing some arena (were only at like 1.5k atm) Hes a resto druid, im a ret paladin.

basically, when ever we come across Affliction lock/ resto shaman or resto druid, its like, there health doesnt go anywere, yet mine does..

The lock constantly fears me around, i try kill the pet, and it just gets healed. I go on the healer, he runs away from my healer, who in the meantime is being feared whilst i have dots ticking. Its just like, half my time im feared all over the show :P

Now im still newish to arena so, any tips?

Edit: this isnt about any class being op, just what seems too happen with me against this combo.

Go with the seal of Corruption/Vengance and tunnel the lock. Your druid should have an insect swarm to help u a bit with dps. 3x cyclone on druid followed by hammer or justice on druid, after that cyclone lock to avoid him from geting heals. After that DR from cycloning the druid should be over so u can go back to cycloning him while u are still dpsing the lock. I met this combo a lot of times over 2k rating and it was really annoying.

Key is to be aggressive and force trinkets without popping your own cooldowns. You can't let them control you so much, just keep them on their heels with cyclones, save your cd's for a real kill opportunity when the druids trinket is down and you are on fear DR and then melt the warlocks face. (Also keep switching targets right before you go for the real kill so that the hots on the warlock will have worn off when you start the cyclones)

You could burn down the pet as long as you don't focus it right off.

Be dpsing the warlock and swap with holywrath, exorcism crits and cyclones onto the druid

burn the pet and be ready to hoj the druid if he trinkets cyclone.

if you sit on the pet, and don't kill him (if not got good gear etc), you are leaving yourself open to massive CC chains...which is what's happening.

tunnel the lock, and let your druid do his thing....cyclone spam.

afaik, the lock won't benefit from soul link when his pet is feared, so chain fear it using turn evil, or undead, or w/e its caused.

This & as a ret paladin it will be pretty hard to beat any team that has a healer if your the only dps because without the t10 2 set bonus we kinda hit like a wet noodle unless we get a lucky string of RNG crits, this is because of how hard resilience effects us.

It will also depend allot on your spec, If your going with a spec similar to http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...P,adyO-q,11623 You will have more single target burst & self healing but take more damage. It works well if you have a healer partner although they will need to work very offensively with cc if your going to beat a team with a healer. Or you could use a spec like http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...7,adYO-q,11623 It works best in a cleave team, you could use it when teamed up with anything from an arms warrior to a destructo lock to ele or enhance shaman.

In the end it all depends on your comp, against strong self heal teams like affliction lock/r druid or shammy you will have an easier time with a dps partner who can cc & or provide strong burst or MS. But your healer ret comp will be hard for allot of the melee cleave teams to beat.

Probably the one team I like to see as an Afflock is druid/ret pally.

You can't really do much. Hate to say it, but if the lock is at all paying attention then you really can't do anything, you'll be feared every time he wants you to go away.
