High Drain Soul tick or bugged Recount?

I'm sort of new to Affliction and i've seen big'ish DS ticks but 33k was just... too big.
So... is it normal for DS to tick that high or is Recount bugged?
This was in ToGC25 on Northrend Beasts if fight mechanics play any part...

Oh the twinkle in all affliction lock's eyes as icehowl crashes into the wall when he is below 25% life. The same twinkle they get with an empowerd light/dark on the twins at sub 25% health.....my lock is and alt and doesn't have great gear...but gets 65K + ticks if this happens on the twins.

I won't be deleting this thread. It's a legitimate question on a legitimate topic and others may benefit. Not necessarily from the topic itself but the thought processes behind it.
