Nope you aren't, didn't play that much though only hit about lvl 45 or so! I played a lot of free / private server MMOs whilst waiting for WoW in the final few months before BETA.
Played MUonline (D2 Clone type) (Global) then MUsg (Singapore server) for about 3 years prior to WoW as well, with D2 before that.
FF from 2 -> 9
Res Evil / Paracite Eve generation of Surv. Horrors etc
C&C + RA1+2 etc
Lots of Sonic, Zelda and Goldeneye too..

This. Also played Spyro (the badass purple dragon) on my PS1 when i was a small kid, and some other games such as red alert 1, (yeah, an R18 game that my parents let me play as a 7-8 year old)Halo 1 and -2 on the req. Xbox, Red Alert 2 on PC.

Still play DotA tho, and i miss runescape :< great game, even greater PvP (back in the day)

I started playing video games in the early 80s at the local roller skating rink and haven't stopped since. From Pong, Mario Bros. and Pac Man all the way to Assassin's Creed II I've seen and played every genre of game (NOT every game) and I can say that RPGs and specifically MMORPGs are certainly the ones I've enjoyed the most. The first RPG I played was Final Fantasy for the NES right after it first came out and I fell in love. It's a little harder to go back and play it now with today's huge advances in graphics and gameplay, but the nostalgia is still enough to get me past all that and remember why I love playing these kinds of games.

There is now a Shadowbane emulator being worked on and should be close to launch. (They just did a alpha weekend).

As far as game history goes, I did EQ, Shadowbane, SWG, FF online, Guild Wars beta testing, AoC, Ultima, DAoC, BF1942, BF Vietnam, AA, and all old nintendo systems. (And WoW obviously). Just waiting on Shadowbane to come out again so I can lay waste to player made cities and make my flying bird thief again that can actually steal from other players..... (WoW rogues are tsuck in that aspect).

Star Wars: Galaxies. Luckily the royal screw up SOE did coincided nicely with the launch of WoW... I think I played EQ2 for the interim period but i'm not 100% sure how long that was. (I've played EQ2 on and off since then, I just don't remember how long my initial period was as it was a long time ago :P). Since then i've tried various other MMOs of all varieties but as far as i'm aware, my WoW account has never been frozen for more then a couple of days since I started playing shortly after launch (I think I started around a week late due to account issues on my end and the fact their web server was down alot too.)
