    Druid Horror Story

Tonight after my guilds Festergut kill in ICC 25 Distant Land dropped for the first time. Only two of us rolled myself and a hunter. At first I was the only one who rolled, so it got looted to me. A minute later he rolled and naturally out rolled me. I was told to trade it to him, major bummer. I whispered my raid leader shortly after asking why it went to a hunter over a druid. It had been stated previously that staves and pole arms would be going to druids over hunters, so I was naturally a little irked. A few moments later we killed Rotface and some agility based ring dropped. The hunter also won the ring...with expertise.

    /sigh

... your guild gave an expertise ring to a hunter? I'd say he should be gkicked for even wanting it, but instead I'll say your guild is retarded. Time to bail man.

    Re: Druid Horror Story

The stupidest part was that the raid leader "compared our dps" and decided it was better for him. He compared my dps in my tank gear tanking the boss to the hunters...

    going to agree with this

Sorry to here about it though man. Druids and gear don't really find a good medium...ever...since cloth is also so awesomely itemized and blizz loves putting crit on our spell power gear...but that has nothing to do with feral.

    Re: Druid Horror Story

Being a hunter myself, I want to go find this hunter you speak off and tear his arms off and feed him to his pet for rolling on the expertise ring. Not to mention hes retarded and is slow to roll on shit. Though distant land is pretty much BiS pre hardmode/lk for hunters.

Brah, you're tanking ICC25man. There are plenty of other guilds that would gladly take you in.

Even better if that guild's progressions is a little slower than your current suck azz guild because that way, you'd be the most experience one. You'd have potential to lead which in turn gives you a bigger say in things.

Time to bail because no one in the guild has your back. Not much of a guild to me.

Jesus man, I never shit talk another guild, because it's a dick move. But you really need to explain game mechanics to them.

    Re: Druid Horror Story

The fact that your guild prioritizes clearly idiotic dps (anyone going into ICC should know what stats are good for them and what are useless) over a tank implies a problem.

Our guild is currently working through hard modes, and if a tank wants a piece of loot, he's probably going to get it no matter what he rolls. Things in ICC hit *hard* and tanks need to be really well geared. Admittedly, you're doing normals at the moment, but I think that mindset should still stand (in a guild, not a pug).

Also, anyone who gives a staff to a hunter over .. well anyone else who can use it is a bad raid leader. That's like giving Betrayer to a hunter, and we know how well that used to go down. Feral druids did have a lot of problems where misinformed raid leaders would give priority to hunters on Journey's End, but the reality is a staff for a hunter is a statstick. A staff for a druid is a weapon. The amount of AP gained from our weapon acts essentially as weapon DPS (which was intended).

    Re: Druid Horror Story

Speaking as a hunter, I would have passed that staff to you with glee. Distant Land is ridiculously good for droods. That guild leader, and that hunter, are both idiots. Drop them asap imo.

acts like that would never be commited on greymane server >: ( if they were done we would rise up with pitchforks and torches. but yea, that was a bad call by the RL.

Hunters should never get a melee weapon over actual melee classes.
I don't hate you. I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence.

    Re: Druid Horror Story

How could you raid with a group for that long, and not notice their stupidity till just now?

Yes, you had all the rights to the staff, and the Hunter had no business rolling for the ring, but it's You who chose to raid with them.

At that point, you agreed to raid under their loot rules.
