earning back alchemy powerlevelng or is cata coming to soon

I am planning to powerlevel my dk's alchemy to 450 and he will end up with transmute mastery. But i am wondering wether I will earn that 3000 g back before catalysm or not.
If you guys think I will do you expect a second and third to be ready in time?

Btw I hate farming mats so herbing isn't a option and I got enough
Money to invest so thats not a problem

Depends on the economy of your server.

On my Server the Elemental and the Blue Gem are around 30g all toghether. The uncut epic Gems are around 120-130. Thats a 90-100g profit for each transmute without proc.

Lets calculate with no procs 90g profit and on transmute per day:

3000g/90g = 33,33

This means: if you can buy the transmute mats for 30g and sell the gems for at least 120g you will have your 3000g back in 34 days. If you get procs that will happen even faster.

I have jc on my main so I can sell gems for 170 on a bad day.
So make 135 profit on bad days, but current plan is to powerlevel 2 characters so making it according your calculation
6000/270=22
