Why people allways think they know better then the DK?!

Ok so im doing Oculus everything is going well and smooth, no wipes, and when we are getting at 2nd boss the healer (healerw/dkintheirname from Kadgahr EU) starts having a go at me saying at that lvl (79) i should spec tank not dps, and that i had no clue about the class because frost is the tank spec not blood.

Bear in mind i was topping dmg meters because our dps wasnt very good. So we get to 2nd boss and hes not healing me, so i dont panic and just use all the great stuff blood has, we ended the fight i had like 10% hp left, i check recount i didnt get a single heal from him, i healed myself for almost 60k. He left the group right after the fight, i think he was too embarassed to stay. Ofc all the dps still left the group and called me names like noob and idiotic stuff like that, now at this point im furious because i pretty much healed myself during the whole fight we down the boss just because of me and i still get to be the "noob".

I dont read EJ for DKs or anything like that, i just spec and gear what i think is right so i might have some stuff wrong, but heres is my armory and tell me pls if im not tank specced.

DKs with DK in their name are bad enough (cough Flordk cough) but healers with DK in their name... That's just wrong.

It's probably short for DenmarK. Seen that in a lot of other games, I assume some people bought that custom over to WoW, because they lack creativity to find a good name.

Basically, there's a lot of dumb people out there.
They don't know anything about anything.
They think they do, and will pretend they do, but they don't.

I've had similar issues, though not as severe, on my DK.
I've been a blood tank for as long as I've tanked on that toon.
Every now and then you will get the healer that says "oh no, not another dk, i'm not healing you btw" and the like.
Most recent occurance was a H-AN random.
Pally refused to heal me.
Did the whole instance, and I only received about 50k of heals from him (splash heals from glyph).
I did get a few from the enh sham with us, about 20k worth, most during Anub.
Blood has great survivability tools that most don't care to recognize.

But anyway, some people just want to hate on DKs or use logic that may have, at one time, been relevant but is no longer. They are nothing more than simple-minded fools.

People always think they are smarter than you. This holds true for all classes talking to all classes, but "common knowledge" of other classes is usually closer to the truth.

Death Knights have had misinformation spread about them since pre-release. As such, this misinformation has been taken as gospel by some and continues to be spread. This leads to people being well versed in how to play a DK in the absolute worst way possible and, since they don't actually have one of their own to play (Or worse yet, have one that they play in that manner), they never learn better and continue to spread their idiocy.

When the belief that something happened is so strong it overwhelms rational thought and continues to propagate on belief alone, it is called Mass Hysteria. I like to refer to the phenomenon I described above as "Mass Incompetence."

Well thats what i think, i designed most of my specc so im not pasting cookie cutter specs, but i have tried all the trees and i have always been tanking on my DK during the lvl process, from all the speccs i tried blood was the one i allways prefered because you can heal your self a lot and theres a lot more panic abilities then in the other specs. Mark of blood, Vampiric Blood, Icebound fortitude, Improved runetap and death pact. Has in frost when i tried it few levels back i only had IF if i remenber (i might be wrong) so blood has allways been a favourite for levelling. Dont know at raid level probably other trees are more effective, but right now Blood wins for me.

99% of dks i have to group with are retarded....
100% of ppl who judge on 1% of good dks with knowledge based on other 99% od dks i meet in game are retarded....
when i see dk with SP gems or stuff like that, sure i'll get him kicked out of group asap.... but if some1 is doing good job, there's no reason to tell him/her anything except maybe friendly advice how to be even better.....


but what to do... it's internet... every1 can do whatever he can....

You always run into this crap unless you start pulling 8k average DPS in the heroic, then they keep quiet and let you kill everything.

I tanked for a grp (they were all friends on another realm I was the only PuG) after months of not tanking, I was DW frost and used 2 tank weaps cuz that's all I had at the time from Uld HMs and didn't want to swap the enchants on my weaps just for my daily. I started catching crap from the warrior in the grp about how terribad I was and this and that, when I hadn't said or done anything and the run was going perfectly fine. The other DK in the grp swaps to tank and starts taking aggro, I gladly swapped to DPS and wrecked the whole instance... while the warrior did no damage and just jumped around like a retard. I damn near solo'd the Brann event and the last boss I got next to no heals while doing 60% of the damage and saving the healer from getting mobbed despite the lack of heals.

Edit: To the OP... your spec is fine, some leveling things in there but other than that it's a perfectly fine setup to tank while lvling.... and soloing all grp quests you run into save 2-3. Dunno why you skipped bloody Vengence or Hysteria, but it's perfectly fine. As far as not reading up... it takes very little time and you can learn things you never knew. So I suggest you read a little, see what's recommended, and very your play by that and what makes you comfortable. I've been a DW frost DK since like August, despite being told how bad it was and blah blah, I even went without the cookie spec and still did perfectly fine... so it's all how you like it... different strokes for different folks.

Hehe, my Tank DK is ICC geared, Blood, so I'm over 50k hp, I'm in Anub Heroic for the daily with everyone being 4400 in-game gs or less, when the warrior who is doing pitiful dps for his gear (1600 dps roughly) pipes up and says "summon Army on this boss". My response, "really? I wasn't really sure how that worked, thanks". Got a few chuckles out of the rest of the group.

Point is, it's kinda sad when someone who can't even manage their own class are telling others what to do and when for other classes.

Our 2nd tank in ICC 25 is a Blood dk. He's good at what he does and I'm glad he can pull off tanking in that spec while I am dps'ing in it. Just shows how useful the trees can really be. Breaks my heart that I will have to leave Blood when Cata hits

While I played on my Dk, I didn't hear a lot of people complaining at me, maybe I'm just being lucky tho. Most of the Dks I see actually know how to play their class, and I got nothing against Dks, since I got one at 80 and know how to play them.
I think most of the people complaining are just jealous, since Dks are 55 levels ahead of everyone else at the start. But anyone complaining probably hasn't really tried a Dk and still think they are overpowered.
