I dont want to be mean but better gear doesn't mean better player. Your prolly doing something wrong.

Also, what you say doesn't make any sense. At all.

Even if he's the worst player, hitting 2 buttons, those 2 buttons should do more damage, meaning at least a little more DPS. If you didn't change anything in your rotation, then it was probably not an upgrade.

    RNG.

If your sample size is small, the data will be skewed.

If it is only a "few" piece's then yes it makes prefect sense. You won't notice unless you actully know what your doing, but since he's ret, I'm gonna say if he isn't seeing a dps increase, rotation isn't his problem, because rotation has nothing to do with it. Ret is whack a mole, unless he doesnt have DS on his bars lol....

Ret has a rotation, it just isn't systematic.

If he always put CS over DS and Consecration before his new gear, and then put Consecration over DS over CS with his gear upgrades, ofc he won't see a DPS increase.

    He did say trash.

.....trash? why does it even bother you?
also the dps would be entirely dependant on how many trash mobs there are to hit....and... why?

Doesn't matter. There is a correct FCFS for single target, and a correct FCFS for trash. Improvements to gear alone won't overcome a mistake in the FCFS.

Less trash = more time on other things, and avoiding wipes.

are you using seal of command on trash? that provides aoe damage doesnt it?

What chest piece did you have before, was it the T9 piece? Any piece of T9 is better than you have currently.

Re: Better Gear but no DPS Increase

Other than feeling like I'm getting trolled, did you break 2set t9?

Edit: Dammit Ronark beat me to it

    Belf. Again.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, especially if your samples are from trash. It could be the RNG. I'd compare your dps on boss fights.

Use seal of vengence or what's it called and mana judgment do crusader strike and divine storm and come here complain if it dosen't work ...

Re: Better Gear but no DPS Increase

Changing out of the 2 piece T9 bonus is often a dps loss or at least negates any gain if it was 232 > 264 upgrades, before the 4 piece T10. From memory that bonus alone would add around 3-4% to ret's dps.

Re: Better Gear but no DPS Increase

I'd also replace your 245 hit trinket with any dps trinket you can lay your hands on....you are like 200 hit over cap, if those items you replaced didn't have hit then that may have been why your dps hasn't really changed a whole lot. Also, your armory says you picked up Ramaladni's Blade of Culling, I would use that instead of the claymore; again going on the hit rating. Ramaladni's Blade has 83 expertise which would bring you closer to exp cap and you would get more use from that than all the wasted hit rating even with the armor pen instead of crit, plus you get another socket for +20str. Other than that, as everyone else has said, check your rotation and consider picking up a t9 helm/chest for the 2pc.

Re: Better Gear but no DPS Increase

If you really want to know what the dps increase should be, go hit a target dummy. Yes, they aren't the best to measure a player's dps, but it'll do.

Re: Better Gear but no DPS Increase

    Major glyphs:
    Judgement
    Exorcism
    Seal of Command

    Minor Glyphs:
    (no sense of undead)

Hitrating: 484 (almost doubled amount of needed rating)
Exp rating: 18 (Way under exp rating cap)

    -------------------------------------------------
FCFS seems like well explained in the thread, if you want to further increase your dps, follow these suggestions

    Switch the glyphs to:
    Judgement
Consecration (just get it, don't ask)
    Seal of Vengeance (+10 exp)

    Switch libram to:
Triumph libram or frost libram (don't know why you'd use pvp libram for pve, forgive me if you had that on for SoC though)

Feel free to add more guys
