    Paladin Teir

Anyone else think that the paladin teir looks like crap? I like the look of the wrath gear for paladins tho. Why is that not my teir?
Whoever designed the wrathful make my next gearset PLEASE.
Bornakk"Increasingly it felt like someone playing against a Ret-Pally really only had 60% of their health bar because Vindication took away 20% from the start and then Hammer of Wrath kicked in when they had 20% left. This change was something we could confidently hotfix and would have a minimal to no impact on the PvE side of things. "

i wouldnt say it looks like crap, the helm looks a bit on the stupid side and the set as a whole is a bit emo but....
strictly speaking of T10 btw, the rest are fine and 10 man T8 is probably my favorite armorset in the game.

On a scale of 1 to 3, here's how I rank paladin sets
    T1: lawlbringer - banana shoulders... (1)
T2: Judgement - one of, if not the best sets in game. (3)
T3: Redemption - The helm ruins it. (2)
T4: Justicar - A sleek-looking armor set, which is reminiscent of the armor a Noble would wear. (3)
T5: Crystalforge - A cool set, in theory, but its pink. (1)
T6: Lightbringer - The set's heavy plate look, combined with what looks like a ceremonial shawl draped around the chest reminds us about the paladin's origional beginings as warrior priests. Plus, the shoulders have an awesome lighting effect. (3)
T7: Redemption II - The set looks better, on a whole, though the golden armor may be a bit much, and the helm is still horrible. (2)
T8: Aegis - I hated it at first, but it grew on me. Only downside is the skirt, the weird helm, and the somewhat lackluster shoulders, imo. (2)
T9: Liadrin (horde) - The set changes the rather brutish Hrde DK and warrior sets into one that I could see any Blood Knight wear. Very excellent work, especially without the green shit on the spikes, as was origionally planned. (3)
T9: Turalyon (alliance) - Proudly displaying the colors of the Aliance, and bearing the crest of Stormwind on the breastplate, this set is a very good representations of what Alliance paladins would wear into battle. (3)
T10: Lightsworn - An excellent idea for a set; I really love the shoulders. However, the bad helm, and the skirt honestly just ruin it for me. (2)

TL;DR version: A good few sets aren't too bad, but in general, the sets are pretty average.

Hold on, you say that the skirts ruin the tier sets, and yet proudly classify the Judgement Tier 2 set, which btw has a SKIRT, to be one of if not the best sets in the game?

I think you're giving double standards there, matey...

I see that now lol... well yeah, but it looks good in T2, I dont think that it does in the others

    Re: Paladin Teir

while I don't doubt there are many, many threads about this: my .02c

    T2/T6/T8ish/T9 = Win

T1/T3/T7 not a fan of... T5 is ok - the PvP gear equiv has a much better Skin colouring

T4 was basic armor, nothing fancy... and T10 - I really don't like how they did THIS skirt... compared to the T2 and T8 models.

And the T10 helm is just weird.

T2 was amazing because it's skirt had a lot of Scriptures and other amazing things that made it amazingly holy and awesome, just like a Pally should be.

Having a skirt with a few lines or circles for the design isn't impressive.

Though we're probably stuck with skirts. Since DK's have been out all Paladin-unique sets have been Skirts.

And since I know people won't get this: I'm saying that T8 and T10, the items made for Paladins were skirts. T7 Was a re-skin, not unique to Wrath (Granted I did like the armor anyway, just pointing it out). And T9 (while awesome) shared a design with other plate users.

There, now we can stop posting new topics in the Cataclysm forum altogether.

As he said 2-8-10 B/c they have kilts/skirts obviously which makes a set 11/10 no matter what.

    Re: Paladin Teir

The "skirts" arent supposed to be skirts at all: They are instead layered pants, as shown in the T10 icon. However, the ingame texturer won't render 3D pant models (since they would need their own animation), and honestly they shouldnt be spending their time on "fixing" those graphics.

Until they do, we're left with the "dress" skin for our layered plate leggings.

    Re: Paladin Teir

Personally I hate the T10 look. The pants look like the bottom of a bath robe.. the helm could have been cool if you could shut the faceplate. Green? meh

T8 was pretty cool though. I wish they'd have used the t8 as the t8.5 version honestly because I like the white better than the red/brownish color for paladin. The only thing bad about the set was the helm. Skirt didn't look bad on this one.

thats cause the T2 set actually looks like an armored skirt while t8 and 10 both just look like I mugged a mage and stole his gear

Way I wanted the "skirts" to work was that it would partially cover one leg while the other leg being shown as a piece of plate armor.

This would look incredible Libram and all.

    Re: Paladin Teir

I always took the "skirt" as part of a robe worn over plate armor, as we see in so much art (such as many Warhammer 40k space marines). Too bad WoW's graphics engine can't handle something that cool looking.

Let's all ride the Gish gallop.

I agree with this. If T2 had pants instad of a skirt, it would be the best. Right now, I really loved t9
