Paladin DPS and Our Sterotypes

Ok all Retribution Paladins out there im not sure about you but people have been stereotyping me regarding the class and how "easy" it is to play a ret paladin. I know that the class is easy but people need to understand that there is a difference between being able to play the class and playing the class well. The class plays strangely. But people in my realm now know that even though ima pally that i play the class well and pull pretty good dps for the class (7.5 on Fester). But i want to know if any of you have the same problem.

decent troll. The fact he took off all his t10 gear while keeping on the 264 libram was a nice touch. Also like the farily terrible trinkets, and the 300+ armor pen. all this with byrntroll on, decent attempt at trolling.

Edit: I take back some of what I said after looking at lolchievements. He may just not have a clue how to gear a pally afterall. Also, you havent been ret since 2006, as you did next to no quests in outland, and next to no dungeons. Maybe this is an effective troll?

Troll or not, I'ma reply.

Ret is melee and has some decent ability clashes to deal with, so it isn't quite literally "faceroll". Playing anything well takes some skill. However, between two dpsers, ret is still likely to be the easier spec, while both dpsers need to be intelligent to maximize uptime and the like.

Ret gets the faceroll moniker because for a period you could literally make a castrandom macro and keep neck-and-neck with most dpsers. The clashes it has now weren't there, because every decision you made amounted to roughly the same stuff. There just isn't anything a normal player can do to fail severely with a ret pally right now. Compare with say a rogue, cat, DK, affi lock, etc., who literally lose large amounts of damage if they use the wrong ability at the wrong time.

Not that watching timers takes a ton of skill, but WoW is a pretty easy game in the end. ;P

all pve is pretty much faceroll. they even made feral relatively easy.
