how come 'just chillin' ? you got it via email or just something popped up onto your BNet account ?
never experienced that tbh... only the wotlk beta.. and I remember that keys were sent by mail.

its sent directly to your bnet account, so ya just pops up on your bnet account. you get an email just saying

So apparently this was just a mistake on Blizzard's part.

It seems a lot more probable that this is just a mistake, and everyone is forgetting that betas for WoW haven't been started like this, or PTRs for upcoming patches, and BlizzCon is starting late this year.

I think that Ruby Sanctum and Echo Isles/Gnomeregan are going to be compiled into one patch and that's what this is for. I could be wrong though.
