8.2 rating gives 1 expertise; you need 214 expertise rating (26 expertise, 6.5%) to reach the cap, 5 of which is given to you freely from Tundra Stalker, bringing the required amount to attain from gear down to 21 expertise (172.2 rating). If you are a human using a sword/mace you need 18 expertise (147 rating), and if you are a dwarf using a mace or an orc using an axe you need 16 expertise (131.2 rating) to reach the cap due to racials. While not as important as the hit cap, capping expertise is still important as it will affect the majority of your damage.

No, Nerves of Cold Steel is a flat 3% to hit which counts towards dodges and misses. I run with 21 expertise in ICC and get 0 dodges.

No. You're outright wrong. Do not spread this false crap.

It gives 3% hit yes. The same kind of hit you get from Hit Rating. It does NOT give you any kind of Expertise. If you check your logs sometime you will always see that without 26 Expertise you WILL have dodges on your attacks.

But if Nerves of Cold Steel gave 3% Expertise as well that would mean it gave 12 Expertise :P. Which in the end would be quite a bit too powerful for a 3 point talent I think :P.
