You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.
i would like help on this, too, but me and my friends 2s are rogue / rogue team
dk's counter double dps pretty hard.
try to go for the dk, kill the pet if neccessary, force big cd's (i.e.: icebound) while the pally only receives sheep attempts, gouges, fokus kicks and so on. after the bubble, 1 cs 1 blind should be enough to kill the dk.
feel free to contact me if youre unsure about several dk abilities and how to counter them.
Pallys aren't killable, that's the way it should be
I'm pretty sure they can die.Originally Posted by Lori

Not many people replied besides that one with something useful, so I'll drop my 2 inexperienced cents. I've never played mage/rogue but I do play Tree/rogue/hunter comp and have to force the bubble on a holy paladin quite often.Originally Posted by DiscoGhost
Depending on the level of play your at, I'd say at lower levels where the pally is sitting around 23-26k hp, focus on him while keeping the DK poly'd, and try to time your counterspell/kick/gouge/stuns to force the bubble, then switch hard onto the DK until the bubble wears off.
At higher levels, focus poly/blind the pally while focusing the DK hard and force the bubble that way, then switch hard onto the paladin once the bubble comes off.
I can imagine though how the DK strangulating the mage and DGing the rogue off the pally would be an issue, so best I can say is ignore my suggestions and go to the EJ forums perhaps and see what tips they have on their guides for mage/rogue.
were almost at a 1300 rating and we cc the pally to burn the dk but we see a bubble and its not enough time for us to kill the dk. or we hit the pally hard to force a bubble off the bat and by the time we switch to the dk one of us are dead b4 the dk is down. its a predicament.

Just CC the dk and go hardon the pala, reset when he bubbles.
i imagine at 1.3k they dont know what cleanse is.

I guess it really depends how you are doing. If you can't get either of them down at all then I'm not sure what to tell you, but if you are capable of putting out enough pressure to force CDs you can go either way here.
If you want to go for the DK, keep the pally focused and whenever the DK gets low, blanket counterspell him so he doesn't get to heal.
If you are going to try and go for the pally, make sure you are interrupting heals... counterspell HAS to be used while he is casting to lock him out of the spellschool (also prevents bubble while he is locked out).
You'll have to time it right, but if you can start applying pressure on the pally, deepfreeze him, have your rogue throw blind on the DK with a counterspell added you should have enough time to get the job done.
The other thing is to make sure you are stripping buffs off of them, especially beacon. Don't let him get double the healing in.
I haven't done a whole lot of pvp as a mage so I can't say for sure, but on my affliction lock, it basically just revolves around a huge chain of CC/interrupts to get him down.

Just dont be shit with interupts, paladins cant bubble while lockout'd.
A good paladin will LoS and when he's not will have divine sacrifice/hand of sacrifice up so that sheep and blind break instantly. By the time the paladin has gone through trinket, hand of sacrifice, divine sacrifice, bubble, and was already LoS'ing to begin with.. the mage or rogue will be dead. A good holy paladin is a hard counter to mage rogue.Originally Posted by Danur

dude on 1300ish rating there are no "good" paladins :>
give my strat a shot and feed us with updates.
interrupting paladins FOL or HL etc, causes them to get the holy-school locked which means they cannot use bubble at that time, whatnot for 5-6seconds?Originally Posted by Danur
