can you stop ninja looters?

I think I saw something about this ones, but couldn't find the thread tho.
well was just in icc 25, and the leader (a rogue) keeps getting dc'ed a bit into the boat fight he is suddenly back, and gets back raid leader and master looter, we then do kill saurfang, and DBW and 2 rogue tokens drops which he takes.
ppl then start to say "just report him and take screenshot".
I then starts to wonder, will it make a difference, will the gm's do anything about this or just go "oh that can happen not much to do about it" ?

"We do not interfere with loot disputes. However if you had a prior agreement which was broken, we can investigate this further for scamming"

GM's will not punish ninja looters. However, your raid can trash the dude's reputation, and get him blacklisted on your server

Make the raid leader post loot rules before the raid begins. Make sure they are detailed, and in raid chat not on vent because that is not traceable. If a GM can trace a chat log of a raid leader posting loot rules, then voilating them by ninjaing, it is considered a scam.

ye you can say he was lucky and well, at some point "I understand" he did what he did, change server and/or name , and within a week ppl have forgot about it and you stand there with some better gear and an awsome trinket.

THE ONLY situation a GM will intervene is if the Loot rules are CLEARLY stated (IE what is reserved or what is not) and the RL breaks that agreement, it falls under the violation of being a "Scam" which blizzard will punish for.

I've had a GM specifically tell me this. They can only do something about it if before the raid, you specifically said in raid chat (written) the loot rules.

So before every raid, you need to say,

"main spec rolls first. In order to win and receive the item, you must have the highest /random 100 roll. You can not receive an item without rolling"

the GM told me that if you specifically write out the rules to everyone, it will be on the chat record. the GM can then look up the chat record and see that the ninja broken the established rules. If you don't specifically write down the rules, even a screen shot won't help you stop the ninja.

You can't stop them, but you can however try to avoid them.

I usually check the guild of the person making the raid, if it's a good/known guild.

Make the RL explain loot rules IN RAID (NOT IN VENT) before beginning. Take a screenshot of that. When the loot is ninja'd, take another screenshot. Ticket it. Profit.

The best way, imo, to stop ninjas is to use eat a savory deviate delight until u become a pirate. That way the ninja will be too afraid of the pirate to ninja anything.

why would anyone group with him if they know him and his policies? You can just do the same type of thing in a GDKP run except you usually make money out of it instead of have to pay thousands of gold.

Yes, alot of shit can be done. GMs have logs of EVERYTHING in the game. If lootrules are stated at the beginning of the raid (or whenever), and GM sees that they are being broken, he may restore the items to its rightful owner(s).

I have no idea. That guy gets flamed every time he says a word in some channel, but ninja looting raidleaders are like getting caught while driving drunken~ naaahh that wont happen to me. ....dont have any other way to explain it.
