The guild that started of as a group of gaming friends who never played an RPG, but got exited for one just because one our favorite RTS games was turned into one. Coming from team playing in FPS and RTS games we always liked playing together and beating the game or other players as a team. So we stumbled into World of Warcraft, not knowing what we should expect. But we were hooked from day one. The Beta test on World of Warcraft was one of the most awesome game experiences we ever had. So we all picked our classes and started our journey into the MMO-RPG world of the warcraft universe. Fast forward 5 years to the third expansion of World of Warcraft and the fourth one underway. We are still playing and we have seen it all during these years. Have raided the depths of Molten Core, dethroned Nefarian as the ruler of Black Rock Mountain, pissed of a lot of troll in Zul’Gurub, spit in the Eye of C’thun and set foot into the Necropolis of Naxxramas.

We all have had our ups and downs, but through it all we always tried to be the best at what we did at the time. The sheer knowledge between everyone of us is pretty impressive if we say so ourselves. But like everyone getting older we have had our lives outside of Azeroth becoming more and more important. Despite this we all liked to keep our time in WoW as well. So to accommodate this we started thinking about how we could accomplish this. After a few semi successful attempts we have taken all our gathered knowledge and formed a new plan for a guild.

Seeing as in Cataclysm the emphasis on guilds is going to increase, we are taking this opportunity to build up a stable guild catering to people who, like us, don’t have all the time in the world to play but really want to give it their 200% when playing WoW. The term casual is not a term we are going to use to label the thing we are trying accomplish. Because in the past we noticed it didn’t attract the people with the same state of mind as we had. So to give you an idea of the sort of guild / community we are going to try and provide here are some of the stuff we were thinking about:

- 25 man raiding (10 man raiding for back-up)
- 2 nights a week raiding (Monday & Thursday)
- raid time 21:00 – 01:00
- guild fee, which will be used to provide everything you need when raiding and guild lotteries.
- profession support
- class support
- old content fun raids (achievements etc)

These are just a selection out of the stuff we are thinking about. As you read before we are aiming at attracting people who have to structure their playtime around their busy lives. There is room enough for people with a bit more time on their hands, but these people tend to get bored quickly in these types of guild as we have seen in the past. The idea is to create a community of players, within the already impressive wow community, who play to enjoy themselves and do some raiding as well. We won’t have a lot of rules etc, but the ones we do have we will enforce very strictly.

So when is this thing kicked off I hear you thinking? Well we are looking at the release of the fourth expansion for World of Wacraft, Cataclysm, as a good starting point for this new guild. The time we have left until this release will be spent on getting everything up and running. So setting up a website, getting the first interested people and think some more about the guild with them. The few things we have are a server, The Maelstrom EU, which has been kind to us in the past, a guildname; Batteries Not Included and a side namely the Horde. Seeing as The Maelstrom has a healthy population both Horde and Alliance side, this would be a great staging ground for the guild.

To add to the post above. We have made the discision to start in WOTLK, so we we can get some ICC action before the expansion comes.

We've been getting quite a few application on our website. But we can always use more! We would like to begin ICC10 really soon and have been practicing in pug's on the first few bosses and they are cake. So we think progress in ICC10 will be swift and easy.

We are starting to look for specific classes now and what we need are:

1 tank (druid, warrior and death knight preffered)
1-2 healers (priest, paladin and shaman preffered)
3 dps ( all slots stil open)
