I'm debating to go with Onyxia Blood Talisman and the 245 Triump Trinket (1792 Armor / 512Dodge for 20 seconds every 2 Minutes)

I'm not sure how to calculate the HP5 on OBT.

But here's my raw numbers.

Using OBT I would have a gain +2.06% avoidance.

With the 245 Triump Trinket, I go from 29308 -> 31100 Armor (65.80% -> 67.12%) with the use effect Dodge.
Now I'm not sure how I'd calculate the average amount of dodge gained if used on cooldown, but that's unlikely as I'd use it as more of a chain of CD's to stay alive, something OBT does not offer.

Any suggestions?

Justin is correct, there's no number crunching required here. Kind of like asking, "which is faster, a 2 legged mutt or a drug frenzied cheetah?"

The armor trinket is good, the OBT has very little use other than a GS inflator. Maybe if you're making an unhittable set or you're tanking heroic 25 gormok, but other than that, there are easy to get just as good options:

1. The Black Heart in regular Trial of the Champion. http://www.wowhead.com/item=47216
2. Corroded Skeleton Key for 60 Frost Emblems. http://www.wowhead.com/item=50356
3. Juggernaut's Vitality from ToC 25. http://www.wowhead.com/item=47290

Those are ranked in order of ease to get, but all three are very viable as your second trinket.
