Sunwalker Mount (Now with screenshots!)

I was wondering.... since Paladins getting race specific mounts, is there a chance Death Knights are getting them too?

could be a drop in one of the new instances, an achievement reward, a mount an npc rides, or something completely different...

It's a Kodo that has armor with suns on it, and you think its 'not' the Sunwalker (aka. Tauren Paladin) mount ? really...

People also need to remember that Tauren Paladins are Sunwalkers, they are not worshipers of the Holy Light in the same way as humans, dwarves etc. They will have different symbolism based around lore we only know a fraction of atm.

Why does it have totems and feathers on it? Makes it look more like a shaman mount.

This is unlikely, as the reason for race specific Paladin mounts is that while they are all "Paladins" they follow their own order with different beliefs.

However, present day, Blood Elf Paladins and Human and Dwarf Paladins follow very similar beliefs.

Dreanei are probably the closest race connected to the light, it means a lot more to them than probably any other race.

Tauren are Sunwalkers, not Paladins. Being Paladins is only a gameplay issue. Their power comes from Elune's Second Eye, the sun. Their "Paladin belief" is more shamanistic or druidistic (if I said that right) than the conventional Paladin belief.

Death Knights on the other hand all serve Acherus regardless of race.

That is a very awesome kodo mount. Altough I don't think the color is that paladin-ish.
But anyhow voting for new mount models, so that I can also ride on cool kodos!

For those asking why it has totems, sunwalkers are more like druids and shamans that decided to draw their power from the sun, the other eye of the earthmother.

They should be a full new class but for obvious balance and design reasons they decided to just make it paladin.

The reson why they are recieveing a special mount, is due to the fact that the Draenei Paladin Order is not that of the Knights of the Silver Hand, but their's began back on Argus. So, it didn't make a lot of sense that they had their steed.
