WoW PTR start up issue- Please Help!

Hi guys, i have an issue with my PTR, Whenever i login to my account on the PTR, it says it succeeds and continues, but then in the middle of authenticating, it says something along the lines of "The WoW PTR has stopped working, windows is trying to find a solution" then the wow ptr screen blanks out and closes, can some please help me resolve my issue :S

The PTR won't start unless you have copied a character over, and the character copy feature is insanely buggy atm. Try reading the front page.

I did copy a premade character over, but i dont know, does it have to be one of our characters in order to work?
