Guys and girls, this is probs a very silly question but,
I've been on a long wow break, and decided i'll come back and start playing again, thing is.. i've lost my authenticator.
Which is the best way to get it unbound from my account? Phone?
Also, when i have a proper search tomorrow, if i find it say in the next week, will it be rendered useless because they will have to deactivate it?

You have to call them and provide security details to prove you are you (stuff such as secret question/answer). They will remove the authenticator from your account, and if you find it again you should be able to reattach it (but don't lose it!)

I apprishiate the feedback guys, really do.
Guess its the usual 9-5 opening hours, so i'll give them a call tomorrow and carry on searching now :<
