Character Model Reskins for cata?

Saw this on the main page before. "Generic Orc concept". Does this mean we are going to finally get a reskin our wow characters to keep up with worgen/goblins? Or is it going to be "oh lets update NPCs models, but not update our actual players' models." Its about time anyway.

They may increase the polygon count, but no real model updates, I think.

People said the same in TBC. I wouldn't imagine a model redesign until Expac #4. Sooo much crap going into Cata's world redesign. Plus a lot of faction leader model revamps.

If anything, I would hope for a head upgrade for all the vanilla races to bring them in line with the higher poly heads of new races. Along with updated textures.

It would be nice for humans to stop looking like block heads.

I agree. the player characters look extremely old compared to the updated npc models. I demand a reskin!

I don't know why people complain about character models. I think they look fine. They have that cartoon-y look to them that previous Warcraft games have.

Some models will be changed, kobolds, crocodiles, nagas, crabs... so I suppose that Blizz will add som polygons to characters, and even change some animations. Who know, maybe dwarf female will start dancing like Lady Gaga.

that is a picture from the collectors edition book, which i have. it was drawn before original WoW was released, i really doubt that it means they are doing a reskin.

I really really hope they reskin. I definitely don't want to be running around with outdated models compared to the beautiful landscapes and npc's of Cata. :[

Agreed. However, if they do update the models, I doubt they would touch Blood Elves and Draenei.

i hope that they don't cause i like the way orcs look like right now i like how the way their arms look like tree stumps, i don't want my orc to look like more
human like, no way in hell would i accept this and i bet several other people would agree with me, if they did this then they might as well fuck up WoW then.

Don't know about orc players, but female dwarfs need some atention. I hate female night elf offensive casting animation too, it's not an "I dislike" issue, I don't care too much of spell casting animations. But an animation that make your character's head disappear inside her shoulder should be reworked.
