Mine has to be the Legend of Zelda quest chain from Un'goro. I had never finished it before, you know, do the bag in the water, and get bored about the time you have to fly to winterspring, and THEN go to Feralas.

I finished it last week, and on the final quest (16th in the chain I think) you get the master sword or a wand and Linken's Boomerang. A Trinket when thrown can stun and disarm opponents.

A lot of the easter eggs are cool but the fact this one spanned 16(ish) quests and the whole continent is pretty awesome and the boomerang is one of the few items Ill keep after finishing loremaster.

There is a reference to the movie "Big Trouble in Little China" underneath Kara. If you go into that crypt that is sealed off there is a barren cave network down there and one room is filled with water with chains everywhere and upside down corpses chained to the chains.

The room is called "The Room of the Upsidedown sinners" Or something.

My personal favorite, because I'm a huge fan of the series the Easter Egg references, is the Stargate SG-1 references in Champions' Hall.

    http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/World_of_Warcraft

In the Champions' Hall, there are NPCs named Captain O'Neal, Lieutenant Karter, Lieutenant Jackspring, Sergeant Major Clate, Guard Quine and Guard Hammon — references to Jonathan J. O'Neill, Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson, Teal'c, Jonas Quinn, and George S. Hammond respectively.

Mine would be the Crashed Plane next to Nesingwary's camp in Nagrand, With the snakes pouring out of it you know... took awhile for it to hit me at first.

I don't know for sure if this one is on purpose, but there is a horde quest giver in Borean Tundra named "Gorge the Corpsegrinder", which just has to be a reference to George "The Corpsegrinder" Fisher from Cannibal Corpse.
