If no other new portals will be on the capitals city i think that dala will be still "the center" of the world, since is the ez-est way to get to anywhere you want.

Yea, Shatt will be my "place", if there wont be a better portal room in like, orgrimar...

I have always liked Shattrath better... just lacks sum of the basic trainers, that´s it....

Yeah personally i hate Dalaran. My PC runs it on top graphic settings and runs fine, i just really don't like it. I would rather be in If, or Shattrath.

I would imagine "yes" dalaran would become pointless in Catalysm, depending where they set the main city around I.E centre point for most the raid instances.

I mean if they shoved a AH in dalaran tomorrow, who would use any of the other cities?

I really wonder what they want to do about portals though. Does not seem like they are ok with players 'having' to use old content for more comfort towards new content.

Maybe they will put portals to every major city in every major city? Crazy idea, I know. I definitely shouldn't work for Blizz, I'd ruin the game.

That´s correct, blizz has stated many times that they will NOT make another major capital for both races... mainly because Cata will have a bigger focus on Horde VS Alliance... ALTHOUGH... they havent said anything about any new portal room - thingys.. Orgrimar is getting rebuilt, and i have seen sum changes to Stormwind aswell, so maby there will be the new hubs?!

And for the dude that thinks a AH would make dalaran the new place to be... naaa... i have engineering on my hunter, and both me and many other engineers always go back to org to do shopping on AH, and well, trading and stuff, mailny becauce of the lagg...

I think blizz will be ok with leaving things as is. People will still have to use the old world cities for AH, and to get around to places. Plus Dal will stay relevant, and shatt will get used again.

Shattrath is not pointless since it still serves its purpose well for characters levelling in outland, as will dalaran for those in northrend.
Plus a few convenient portals to otherwise inconvenient locations like the caverns of time still have some appeal, since I still use that in dalaran as a shortcut to tanaris usually on route to tanaris for dire maul, or for onyxia.

I don't understand why'd they would do that. No major city in Northrend for levelers? I mean, I don't have a problem with it, but it just doesn't make sense.

tht is total bullcrap it will not go back to its old place if you dont have proof never say something as bold as yea they will put it back ermmm i dont think so there are still ppl in need of it when lvling from 70 to 80 so id say it is gonne float in the spot where it is now

Maybe they will phase it? or maybe two x dalaran when in northrend its their when in hilsbrad its their...but dont really see the point when they can just add portals in major citys this will also stop mages crying after reciving 2000 "PORTAL EXODAR 5G KK?" messages

I sure do like the idea of Dalaran going back to the Alterac region. Not like it's needed that much while leveling between 68-78 anyway.. they could just put up a minor leftover dalaran-ishy quest hub for the FEW needed quests and maybe keep a portal hub left there aswell.
