Thread: Mage Addons

    Mage Addons

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for add-ons for my new mage. Our guild is gonna do icc alt runs so add-ons would be pretty handy.
I'm looking for a UI and something for my buff proccs and cooldowns etc. mainly. And some random add-ons that are neat. I already have decursive.

And if you have a UI for holy/retridins, that would also be awesome.(Off-topic is bad ass.)

    Greetz Blaze.

    Yay, I was quoted!

If you're looking for a comprehensive UI, check out LUIv3. It's pretty much the greatest caster UI I've come across. The only things you need to add afterwards are MageNuggets, a boss mod, and I would also recommend MSBT.

    Re: Mage Addons

get Decursive. works great and is useful for both mage and pally healers. I use it ALL THE TIME on my pally for cleanse and all that good stuff and then for remove curse on my mage

PowerAuras does rock though, mine's been a little glitchy this week though (slow on loading texture for MBarr proc). MikScrollingBattleText is by far my favorite addon ever.

    Re: Mage Addons

I suggest you use Miks Scrolling Combat Text for procs. It's clear and nice.

    Re: Mage Addons

    use these:

    1. mik's scrolling battle text - arranges your scrolling battle text neatly
    2. decursive - yes, please help out when there are no droods
    3. quartz - very useful castbar addon that shows latency
    4. needtoknow - i mainly use it for my DK but w/e, it's useful to track debuffs when i am on fire/FFB
    5. omen - for monitoring your monstrous threat
    6. recount - check if you are doing good enough DPS
    7. hit assist - shows how much you are away from hit cap when minmaxing gear
    8. portal box - for your damn portals, has an icon on the minimap for easy toggle
    9. power auras classic - use this if you are not comfortable with need to know. best used for procs such as missile barrage

I use MageNuggets, it shows if you are hit capped (even scans target for misery/imp FF and factors that in) while also showing your current SP, Crit (shows fire crit in fire specs), and haste. Also, if you use TitanPanel (excellent small real-estate addon), it has a plugin called Portal Broker for managing your portals and hearthstone. TitanPanel also shows your latency, FPS, Gold per session/per hour, Exp gained per session/per hour and calculated time to level, total gold across all toons.

Quartz is a must have, as well as Omen

MageNuggets actually helps with ports and hearth too so you wouldn't need TitanPanel. I <3 my MageNuggets, its got all the little mage utilities like hitcap and Proc trackers.... good stuff.
    Don't ERP me bro!
