Utterly pointless posting nerd rage threads here about it.

Post a thread on official Blizzard forums make it sensible and polite so it gets taken seriously, then post a link here and ask people to post their support for it. Spread the word via other sites/forums where shamans and others hang out, create a facebook group etc.

NB. make sure its in the suggestions forum or the Cata beta forum when that appears. In beta post it as a suggestion in the feedback tool. In your post on forums other than the Blizzard one - write a short description of how to use the beta feedback tool in game to post the idea as a suggestion. etc.

Ie: get a campaign going so that Blizzard realises LOTS of people like this idea, and they hear the idea from lots of directions. Posting here doesn't achieve that.

What you want is some developer meeting at Blizz to say. Hey the forums and the beta feedback is a buzz with the idea of giving dwarf shamans beer kegs for totems, that sounds cool, lets do it.
