Why won't this Macro work? (hunter)

Hey, I'm trying to get this macro to work:

/cast [mod:ctrl] Freezing arrow
/cast Volley

But when I hit ctrl and the spell it still does volley, if I change freezing arrow with another spell then it will work.

Any ideas?

well I don't know anything about hunters, so does Freezing Arrow cause the GCD? if not there's your problem.

A better way is this

/cast [mod:ctrl] Freezing Arrow; Volley

Definitely probably something worth checking into.

If you have a [mod] condition, I believe you also need a [nomod] (or have it written like in the post above, which tells the macro to use Volley if there's no mod condition)

can i ask u 1 question.....WTF are u trynig to do when u freeze trap something then volley it....that negates the point of freezing the target in the first place

both abilities got a "decide target" function?

Just cuz they are bind to the same key dont mean that he will be using it at the same time.

Why? I have the same thing bound to my mousewheel click, because they both require targeting.

Cause some of us like to play with a compressed amount of keys to need to use and shift/ctrl and alt make that really easy to do..don't be bad :P

Uh, I'm pretty sure hunters have more on-demand abilities than almost any other class, definitely more than 15. Unless you're bad, and don't use abilities such as tranq shot, deterrence, master's call, pet macros, disengage, e.t.c.

2) Scorpid Sting
3) Serpent Sting
4) Chimera Shot or Explosive Shot
5) Volley
6) Explosive Trap
7) snake Trap
8) Frost Trap
9) Freezing Arrow
10) Freezing trap
11) Steady Shot
12) Wing Clip
13) Trinket
14) Deterance
15) Feign
16) Disengage
17) Aspect of the viper
18) Aspect of the DH
19) Concussive Shot
20) Scatter Shot

No "drama" here, and I agree with you, I have volley and freezing arrow on separate keys, just saying we have a lot more than 15 max :P

it was just a random number i threw out....it wasnt meant to be literal....im just saying we dont have 100 abilities so there are plenty of keys to bind
