    Moonkin PVP gemming question

Hi all. I am a PVE moonkin but love PVP and am gearing up with PVP gear.

    How should I be gemming?

Should I gem stamina or resilience or spell power or spell pen?

I am tried googling this and searching forums but can't find the answer.

I would be very grateful for advice. Thanks.

You can check the elitistjerks forum. Here's the link: http://elitistjerks.com/f73/

The guys there do some heavy theorycrafting.

I think you should do 350+ resilience then start working on spell power. Never played a druid but the principle applies for any pvp caster out there.

Still, don't go overboard with mix/maxxing your character. Just play for fun! =)

    My 2 cents

Get around 1k resil and a fat healt pool. You will get eaten out by melee and most of casters if you cant stay alive for a while. No use to have nifty healing spells and shit strong cc if you cant make the time to use it.

Ill gem for the nesserities, that is for spell pen, resil and stam. I get the sp/crit i need from gear. Ideally id like to have more crit (and past 1k resil i have used sp crit stones) but ultimately most of balance druid pvp is stand and nuke OR kite kite kite. For stand and nuke what sp, crit and haste we get from gear will do. For kiting we need to kitt out.

Atm im at 1.1k resil and bit over 30k hp self buffed. Im a tough nut to crack, especially so if i have some stuff to kite around.

In all honesty there are times id like to have more punch, but those time are mostly in 1vs 1 agains another hybrid and especially against a healer. On a long run i feel the pros of smaller sp with bigger health pool ourweight the cons. The times i have been saved by my hp+resi combo can not be counted.

PvP is dynamic there is no answer. Depending on how serious you get you might find yourself re-gemming quite often. It is hugely dependent on comp.

If youre healer cant keep you alive gem survival aka stam resil

if your in a outlast comp and you keep going oom gem mp5.

if your in a burst comp gem haste.

    1. Get 75 spell penetration
    2. Stack SP

There shouldnt be need to socket resilience or stamina. The only "defensive" enchants/gems should be 20 resilience on chest, Tuskars vitality on boots and possibly the WG head/shoulder enchant even tho i pref. using the Hodir & Kirintor ones, but if you are just gearing up the resilience will surely help you.
