IMO we have gone too far into this year for a release this year. Will probably see it some time next year either feb/march 11. Bear in mind here we still have the Ruby Sanctumn to come and that whole mess of stuff releated to Bnet as well and thats still in the PTR.

Also with the way they are releasing the patching for the sanctumn its going to be at least 4 weeks after the US has it patched before it actually opens as Blizz have stated it will be staggered across the regions/continents and will open at the same time across the board. So we are looking at at least 5 more weeks from today before we see Sanctumn open that puts in 2nd week July before that even opens and you still expect to see Cata this year? Really?.

RS is just filler content, at best it will hold people off for a month, maybe 2, but that is pushing it. The next patch they will do will be the gnome and troll events which will be the pre cata patch where we will get some of the new skills and trees.

The Gnome/Troll patch is part of the sanctumn patch is it not, We wont see Cata skills and such in that. Also I'm well aware RS is purely filler content but they are adding it and it is at least 5 weeks away. That still sticks us in mid july before it lands along with the gnome/troll stuff. So even if we take your month which is a very narrow margin imo as a look at the time they expect it to fill thats Mid august before thats done with with beta still not in sight, Don't think its likely we will see it this ytear.

Well lets start here, Doesnt look likely we will see it land this week, And front page news from Blizz regarding the RS world firsts and such stated that the release would be structured so that it opened across all the WoW regions at the same time due to how they are releasing this patch with the US getting it one week,EU next/asia and so on. So that puts us at least 4 weeks from today before RS opens, Factual enough for you?. Even if it opens in the US this week that still puts us 4 weeks from today before RS gets opened.

Yea I highly doubt that it will be 5 weeks before we see ruby sanctum and the new patch with talents and stuff isn't going to come out the same time as that anyway. The troll/gnome event hasn't even been announced to release but they're done with the testing and it looked fine, they just have to turn it on. I still think it's coming out this year and so do vendors like Gamestop. It's in their release book for November so that's when im expecting it

Wrath didn't go into Beta until July 2008 but was still released by November.

Cataclysm has been in production since before Lich King it will be ready by late October-mid November. 4.X.X patch will be sometime at the end of August/early September with all the masteries and talent/ability changes.

This is all just wild conjecture from everyone concerned myself included. There have been many instances of quotes from blizz,remakes made,previous schedules used to try to guess at when it will land it just doesnt seem likely to be this year imo, Especially with SC 2 out this year.

They said this will be the first time they have had 2 Betas out at the same time, which hints at Beta coming out before the SC2 beta ends on July 26th. Currently SC2 Beta is down for 2 weeks ish preparing for the final phase of testing, which I can 100% guarantee is the Battle.net 2.0 integration into WoW and SC2 which means that 3.3.5 will be out in 2 weeks or less (maybe even tomorrow).
