    Cool Leveling a new Warrior.

    Hello there people,

I recently started a fresh account/character, and decided to play Warrior (Orc).

Ive read good things about warrior, good fun etc etc.

The problem is that i cant find any good information for leveling a Warrior, like a guide to go Arms or Fury, and what talents to take.

Prot is a nice option ofcourse, but i dont realy like tanking that much, the Warrior will be for PvP mostly thus i want to level in DPS style.

I hope someone can give me some usefull links, been checking the forum but couldnt find anything up-to-date

(or if someone could give me a nice build for leveling).

    Thanks!

This may sounds weird at first, but as protection, I outdps many, many DPS classes in randoms. At level 70, I sometime can pull 1.5k DPS in heroics or wotlk instances, while tanking. Of course, as you said, this is a tank spec.

As for which spec to chose between Arms or Fury, well, fury is the way to go. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find the build you seek on wowwiki.com, in the guides section. (http://www.wowwiki.com/Warrior_builds).

I hope I've been able to help you.

    Warrior Guide ?

If you had brains you would check out the talents and think which suits best ! Don´t be lazy and avoid thinking yourself by asking in a forum ! Im leveling a warrior atm and i didnt check any Guides for leveling ! For PvP you might check Swifty´s warrior training in Youtube though because it requires lots of makros to play a warrior Decently ! but seriously Dont be a lazy tard that makes other people work for your good and THINK YOURSELF!

So it is ok to ask how you play a warrior in pvp but not pve?

    Are you retarded?

I was asking the same quesions not long ago. i have just finnished leveling a warrior. ive tired every spec, with heirloom ofc and found that protection will not just give you instant tank queues it will also provide the smoothest leveling in group quests and soloing =)

    happy hunting.

Ehm i dont really have a build atm, But i'd recommend going Arms till level 30-40 and then go Prot. Fury really sucks to level you'll die every 10 min orso. Prot is the savest to level and you might even be able to aoe grind 3-5 mobs at the same time. Arms does nice dmg and is a lot saver then Fury. When you get shield slam and devestate you'll be raping mobs as prot.

No what he is saying is that the leveling period is an excellent time to mess about a little and try out different talents and speccs. There really is no pressure and nothing to loose. Talents do pretty much what they say they do and there aren't any big secrets to discover.

Just roll with what you like best and what makes sense to you can take a closer look once you hit endgame.

As for PvP, the different abilities and movement require quite a bit of practice. That's why you should start using macros etc. pretty early so you can be competitive from day one.

I'd suggest going arms if you're strict for leveling and don't want to bother with tanking. It requires alot less hit rating, does great with the heirloom axe, and you can usually 2-3 shot most mobs all the way up til 80. That's just my suggestion as it's how I leveled. If you do enjoy tanking and have the money for it... dual spec at 40. Get gear for both specs along the way and you'll have a pretty quick way to the level cap. ^_^
I definitely find that I like your face better, now that I've smashed it with my shield.

Only if you really suck or are trying to do quests that are way too hard.

Warriors are the most geared-dependent class that require the highest learning curve for the least amount of return. I would consider rolling a pally or dk!

As nerfedagain1 above me said Warriors are incredibly gear dependent and have a harsh learning curve but I disagree with nerf and think the return for the work is a very fun class to play. Back on the main topic:

Arms is easily the best spec for leveling generally, although being procced based it can vary.
Protection becomes arguably better for leveling at 60 and again at 70-80, due to being able to pull large groups and dish potent damage while having little downtime. Although it's more gear dependent than Arms.
Fury is a bad idea for leveling, it's not just very gear dependent, but it's reliant on the exp and hit cap.

The new LFG system could make Prot the best route to take if your interested in pumping dungeons the entire time, although Arms would be a better tanking spec till level 30.

Im lvling a warrior right now. If you have hierloom items, you can buy the leather shoulders that have +hit and just go fury to lvl. Arms was good before heirlooms because it was less gear dependent and there wasent instant dungeon options. Now since you can do whatever dungeon you want quickly and easily, gear isnt an issue especially with heirlooms so fury is a great option. Protection is also good, revenge does a shit ton of dmg and you can solo pretty much anything. You also can tank any instance at least up to 60 as fury as im doing now with no issues, ive been top dps 95% of the time and had no issues with surviving, having died twice in 60+ dungeon runs. As for glyphs, +30% crit on victory rush is nice, and you can really take whatever you think is useful, but first minor should be +battle shout time.

.... I hope it was continuous trolling, because that seemed pretty minor an infraction..

Regardless though his point is somewhat valid. A warrior is heavily gear dependant.

But when leveling my warrior I tried fury and didn't like it until I got bloodthirst(40)

I then tried arms on my second warrior and didn't like it til I got mortal strike, and even then it was a little slow.

But the most fun, and quickest levels I've gotten is as prot from 35-50(so far). If you enjoy tanking instances this is great, and the changes to revenge recently(ish) make it pretty good in PVE, not great but not bad.

He asked if there's any guides out here, not if he should use guides. Forums are for something else than trolling mate, you should learn that.

    Leveling Help

So I am currently leveling an Orc Warrior, and I was wondering what the best way to go about leveling is. I have EVERY BOA for him ( Trinkets, Bow, Weapon(s) (if needed), Shoulders, Chest )And its moving pretty quickly but I would like to know how to do it the quickest.

Currently I am leveling by putting points into fury and prot and cleaving and thunder clapping large numbers of mobs and "tanking" instances this way.

Is there a faster way then my make shift way? Id just like a direct answer or a link to the leveling section for I couldn't find it >.<.

The quickest way is probably going to be by queuing as a tank and speccing in to the Protection tree. You will have almost no downtime between dungeons. You will be getting pretty good exp in the dungeons, just as good as you would be getting from questing. You'll get better loot, too.

mixing tree's while leveling is 9 times out of 10 ineffective. I havent leveled a warrior in a while but I heard arms has been significantly boosted, which is good cause fury is Miss central while leveling. Though the Real way to level is Prot without question. Instant ques for dungeons, and leveling speed is quite high with much less downtime.

He mentioned that this was a fresh account, so it's unlikely that he's going to have access to heirlooms.

I enjoyed leveling as Arms until Outland, then I went Fury all the way to 80. However, now that I have experience tanking at 80, I would say that leveling as Prot would be a much easier (safer), albiet a little slower way to level.

Yeah, get the BoA axe and level Arms. Fury is a blast but not very smart leveling wise.

Protection does more dps in 5 mans because you spend more time on the target than everyone else. You rush in and smack things and go cleave city at your own pace. Everyone else attacks after you. Thus your meter gives you an extra 3 seconds (or more, per fight) of dps vs their zero. If combat lasted 20 seconds, they did 17 seconds worth of dps, which is 15% less.

It doesn't actually do more dps, it just appears to.

That said, leveling prot is the best way because you get to be really decent at questing and get instant queues for dungeons when you're in the mood or when you want to do some dungeon quests.

Fury 40+ w/ Glyph of Bloodlust has no downtime if you're looking for a solo experience.
