I wouldn't level by questing as fury. The increased damage taken in berserker stance sucks for survival.
If you are going to be leveling in dungeons, then fury will be fine (tank queue is damn near instant, so you may want to take advantage of that.)

You cant dual-wield Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge, as it is main hand only. Ideally, you want the slowest weapons that you can find, due to their higher top-end damage, and the fact that a lot of our abilities are based on weapon damage.

You also never want proc-weapons in the off-hand, as their chance to proc is greatly reduced (making it pretty much useless.)

You will be better off, and save badges, if you get http://www.wowhead.com/item=42943
and level to 60 as arms.

There is no heirloom shield, so if you decide to level as prot, you will need to pick up shields as you level. Since there is no tank weapon either, if you go that route, you can use http://www.wowhead.com/item=48716

If you still want to level as 1H fury, your best bet is to dual wield http://www.wowhead.com/item=48716

Arms leveling is your best bet, especially if you will be soloing, as stated above.
Tauren warriors stand between their allies and death.
Gnomes keep death from walking that far.

    Disagree entirely.
1-20 - Everything dies fast enough with Autoattack, Overpower, and Victory Rush
20-30 - Same thing, except now you have two weapons doing much more dps than a single 2h
30-40 - You take a bit more damage due to getting zerker, but again the increased dps makes up for it
40+ - You get Bloodthirst which heals you for at least as much damage as you take.

I would never recommend leveling Arms, with the exception of back in BC 64+. Prot or Fury.

Prot spec with Dps gear is surprisingly awesome. you get way bigger numbers from Revenge and Shockwave than from BT,MS or OP.

Personally, Arms till 60. Prot till 75. Then Arms again.

Fury doesn't liquidate anything unless you're leveling with good gear (Which you only do during an expansion pack release, after having been a raider in the previous expansion pack), and Arms offers better "pack-clearing" capabilities. Not to mention, should you decide to go Fury post 60, you'll have 2h (heirloom) weapon that you can keep, rather than banking two 1h weapons and trying to find a 2h weapon.

Due to the self-heal of Bloodthirst (glyphed even better!) solo questing with fury is actually quite fast due to almost no downtime.

Arms with Glyph of Overpower (this is the important part), you're going to smash everything and especially higher level mobs (parry ? overpower. Dodge ? overpower.)

I was in arms until I got Titan's Grip, then I smashed through everything in Fury which is where I remain to this day... although it has to be said when I was leveling in titan's grip it hadn't been nerfed yet, so I was doing a lot more damage than you can do now at the same level

The best way is to quest as arms to level 60 and go fury. The reason im saying this is cause of the 2h weap skills. I went Axe, and ive found alot of good axes after 60.

Fury is just better for outland and northrend, well for me. The +5% damage taken is almost nothing, and bloodlust is a life saver. You can two shot mobs with some lucky WW crits and if you want to tank a quest elite you can just equip 2h+shield and go spam bloodlust and not lose any life.

I tried Arms and well it sucked for me. Downtime after 4 mobs aint fun and you have to wait till your proc comes up to kill mobs, fury is just bloodlust+ww dead mob go next one.

Edit: Forgot about prot. That is the best leveling spec but it aint fun at all=)

I strongly recommend leveling as protection, the damage is pretty much the same, but with increased survivability! =)

Im currently leveling my warrior from 70 - 80 and having tried all 3 specs I have to say its easier as Prot, instant daily dungeon queues for the badges and potential for AoE grinding + from what I have seen, there isn't much damage difference between them when soloing

I merged the 15 billion (okay, 4) Leveling threads.
