    Hit Problems

    What pieces of gear do you guys recommend for reaching 100% hit?

    After doing most of the gems and enchants, I realized that I wouldn't be able to make it.

    erm LOL your aware that you are miles (and i mean miles) over the hitcap.

    hitcap for an arcane mage is 11% (if you spec´d right so you get 6% from talents)

    caster hit cap is 17% overall and your sitting on almost 52%.. think about it

    Holy jesus, I didn't know it was possible to stack that much hit. You need to lose 40% hit immediately. At least. 17% is cap for casters, arcane gets 6% from talents + 3% from Misery/Imp Farie Fire + 1% from Heroic Presence (? Space goat racial)

    You need minimum of 7% as Alliance. You have 51.69%...........

    Also, don't agree with your spec (Abarr is useful at times IMO), and your glyphs are for a Fire/TtW build (needs Arc Blast/Arc Missle, not Living Bomb/Fireball).

    about your spec. i cant post links yet but

    remove the 3 points from arcane stability
    go for 2/2 magic absorption
    go for 2/2 magic atunement
    remove the slow its not needed at all unless your playing arcane on LK
    and go 1/1 arcane barrage

    and last 2/2 frostwarding beats 2/3 iceshards

    I appreciate you listing your preferences on how to use the extra points in arcane, but I'm asking how to increase my hit to 100%. Your response is a little off topic.

    ... read my 1st post. you need 17% in words SEVENTEEN PERCENT to be hitcapped. there is no way you can reach 100%

    Where are you getting 17% from? If you look at a pie chart, 17% is a small fraction of the pie, (17/100.) If I want all of the pie, I need 100%. It's simple fourth grade math. If you don't have any tips for me to increase my hit I suggest you stop trolling me and post in another thread.

    oh my god...

    you dont need more than 17% to hit with 100% of your spells.
    17% is what blizzard made the hitcap.

    p.s. you shouldnt talk about 4th grade maths since you make yourself look stupid

    p.p.s. my tip is to read the game manual and then come back

    I read that wiki article, It was very informative.

    Spell hit is a combat attribute that increases a caster's chance to hit with spells. Spell hit is primarily obtained from talents or gear that has hit rating. The more gear with hit rating a caster has the lower the chance the caster's spells will miss. With patch 3.0.2, spell hit is capped at 100%; with enough spell hit, it is possible to reach a state where it is impossible for your spells to miss.

    Well, according to his armory he got the Sanc T10 Shoulders but doesn't have them equiped. He took the time, and money, to get or hold on to every piece of hit gear he's ever owned and regemmed them all with hit. He's a troll, a bad one, but still a troll. If ppl are actually allowing him to raid 10 and 25 ICC with that kind of gear/enchants then he's on the worst server ever.

    OP if you did read that article you would see you have an 83% chance to hit a target 3 lvls higher then you. Bosses are always 3 lvls higher then you btw. So that means with NO hit at all on any gear you already have an 83% chance to hit the boss. Which means you only need another 17% to reach that 100% you keep talking about. Add in Hit from talents and raid buffs/debuffs that amount comes down to 7%. Have a nice day.

    The Sanc t10 shoulders do not have hit.
