dude, blizzard had no intention of talking about latin and english and all that when they made the watchers. They based them off of norse mythology. period. It may just be coincidence that had left hand mean sinister. But that isn't the reason blizzard the one handed watcher Tyr.
I don't really buy into the notion that, since Vezax drops an item referred to as the 'hand of the ardent champion' (which looks nothing like a hand, IMO), he must have something to do with Tyr's absence, or perhaps even be Tyr himself. In fact, in conjunction with the recent blue post indicating that Tyr was not within Ulduar at the time of Yogg Saron's setback, this would seem to say that is definitely NOT the case.
So, the possession of the 'hand of the ardent champion', if it even has any relation to Tyr at all, could just be from the General being the unspeakable evil that Tyr defeated long ago, or perhaps he obtained it after that evil was defeated.
As for me? I think Tyr's chillin' on top of a floating rock in Nagrand. When the Dark Portal opened he said, 'Screw you guise, Ima go to Outland' and scarpered. Talk of his commitment to Order and justice are in all likelihood greatly exaggerated :P
Freakin' infraction points...how do they work?!
actually im pretty sure they are the same person
and vezzak isnt tyr vezzak may be the guy who ate tyr's hand
vezzak is a faceless one...a big mutated faceless
and i think we will find him somewhere possbly uldum or some yet unknown titan base..perhaps one he creates himself
It was a retcon , back in 3.1 players asked what has happened with Tyr , one of CM responded that area before Yogg Saron was not always so dark and old god stylish but it was more of a room of final watcher of Yogg Saron .
In same thread same CM hinted at loot droped from Vezax and made a joke that Tyr either mutated under heavy corruption from Yogg Saron or Tyr got eaten by Vezax .
At that time it was made clear that Tyr got corrupted into Vezax and that made alot of sense back then considering loot he droped

Blizzard retcons stuff all the time , just look at what happened with Deathwing's Scar area
From a post on a blog I read a while ago it said Tyr showes up in a flash back from a questline in tanaris. I don't know if it was accurate, maybe someone in the beta can at least confirm if its true or not. If it is we at least get a bit more of his story line. The link to the blog is http://www.spooncraft.com/breaking-n...clysm-azeroth/
It seems like they retconned that retcon, or Valnoth was just messing with us.

From just last month - Tyr is not Vezax, and was out at the time.
Hehe, the way you said that, it's almost as if he'd stepped out for some milk or something. I can just see him walking back with a grocery bag in hand, entering Ulduar and seeing the chaos and mayhem post-adventurer incursion, and pulling a big 'WTF'.
"Seriously guys, I was only gone for a few millenia, what the f-?!"
Freakin' infraction points...how do they work?!
I think the post teasing at Vezax being Tyr weren't exactly serious. The items Vezax drop that make reference to Tyr probably hint that Vezax and Yoggy took over Tyr's chambers when he rose, but Tyr was absent at the time.
I don't see why he couldn't appear in some form in Uldum. All of the titan areas are related, despite the nod towards different real-world mythologies. It's just very cool how much Norse mythology was alluded to in Northrend; and how much Egyptian mythology has been alluded to in Azeroth.
For the Alliance!
