IMO get a board that is ATX not Micro ATX (or mATX). Micro boards are pretty small and cramped and can lead to heat issues. Asus and Gigabyte typically have the best reputation for boards though intel boards aren't bad.

Get the i5 750 not the 650 it's more than worth the price diffrence.

Also you want 4gb of ram 2 is a little low win 7 64 really wants 4 gigs.

will ball park how much wattage your computer will use at full load. Just double that number and that is how big you want for a PSU. DO NOT cheap out on a psu, a crappy psu will die prematurely and can take out other components with it or will just blow up other components in the PC.

You should be able to run whatever video card you would like. IMO a Radion 5770 is the best $ per performance.

The only parts you are really missing is a case (with the obligatory additional fans) and a video card although i'm assuming that you just hadn't decided on one yet.

Video is a Palit GTS450. Main display is a 24" full HD TV. Secondary display is an ACER 19" lcd at 1440x900.

i am actually doing a little more rechurch as we speak... type and i just found better ram and a motherboard without the micro atx and 4GB ram, i still have yet to look at the graphics card u suggested,i will take a look at it now, here are the new parts for the computer

    Motherboard: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...168&CatId=5195

    Processor: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&CatId=4731RAM

    Ram: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...37614&csid=_25

    Hard-Drive: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...3792&CatId=139

    Graphics card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=P450-9850

    ---------- Post added 2010-07-20 at 10:44 PM ----------

is a graphics card and a video card the same thing? sorry this is probibly a stupid question

Ya graphics and video card are the same thing.

The vid card you picked is a little out dated now but it will run wow fine (wow is cpu intensive not gpu intensive).

With the parts you isted you;re looking for at least a 550watt PSU with a 650 or greater being best.

Video is a Palit GTS450. Main display is a 24" full HD TV. Secondary display is an ACER 19" lcd at 1440x900.

well money wise, I'm 15 and my parents don't want me getting a job but at the same time they do... ya i know weird... but anyway i was hoping to get a few of these parts for Christmas ans stuff so the price range is hopefully around $600ish but still under like $800 bucks, all i would be playing is wow really and Sims for my sister so it doesn't have to be a super computer

as for the parts you listed above pansertjald the only difference i see is the motherboard, and the graphics card + the power supply what is the big difference if i might ask? i mean i understand the graphics card but why the motherboard, is mine a little outdated?

the asus board got way more features then the Intel board and thats nice to have if you some day wants to OC your cpu. the asus board is 30-40% better then the Intel board

Intel makes some realy nice motherboards, but they cost alot if you want the Intel boards with all the nice features

the asus board allso has a realy nice soundcard

second, would it support the i5 750 quad-core processor i have chosen, because when i looked there it doesnt really say it just says the i7
