My Hunter alt has a wolf named Imaperson.
I don't know why, I just thought it was funny and I suck at names.

Earlier pets have been named things like Ozzy (Wolf), Apollo (Moth), and Chopper (Gorilla). I also named my Gondria pet Twilight, which, in my opinion, is just something standard and lame that people tend to pick. It has nothing to do with the movies/books (I have standards).

My main pet is named Giggy, just because another hunter in our guild is named Giggy, and so the healers tend to accidentally heal my pet.

Best hunter name I've seen so far, not on my server, in some forum thread, only worked in combination with the hunter's name....

I try to stick to original names. Not sure on if I'll pick up new pets in Cataclysm though. Depends on what new pets become available. Of them I only know one I want, which is a Mastiff for my human hunter, which I'll name Laika.

The first pet I tamed was a White Bear. I was level twelve. It was extremely hard to tame cuz it kept interrupting "Tame Pet" with a Bash type move. Eventually I caught it and named it...IceFang.

From that moment on I named all my pets ----Fang. My ravager? GoreFang. My wind serpent? AeroFang. My wasp? StingFang. And my moth? ButterFang!

I think the best name I've seen was a Spider pet named "myXwife" and the hunter's name was "Naylinyou"

I named my hunter's white wolf "Aphrodite" and the white Devilsaur "Chris Farley"
