allthough there has nothing been updated on the web or anything,but i spoke with someone from GAME today and they said that the National Release date for Cata is 1st November, can anyone confirmt his or ....

Also Nov. 1st is a Monday, it will be released on a Tuesday.

I can just see it now when it is released on a tuesday:

Midnight release. WoW Population rejoices. Grabs copy and runs home to install.
Blizzard conducts extended maintenance on the same day as release.

Those on the East Coast get game, run home, install... ... patching... patching... updating files... updating login... patching... BING! Done!

Players log in finally and create Goblin / Worgen. Players enter game finally. Do first quest... Server shutdown in 15 minutes!

Game releases from everyone except Nintendo fall on a Tuesday, so no, this information is not accurate. It'll either be release on October 26th, November 2nd, or November 16th.

At this point, any release dates are pure speculation and should obviously be taken with a grain of salt.

Why? Because the gnome in IF in the gnome area on Live says there is a 12.7% chance of a Cataclysm this year. In the US, dates are month-day forrmat, so 12-7. There you go.

Gamestop says the same thing, its an assumed date, they said the same about Wrath, which we know didnt release on that date. Just so people have a general idea of when its suppose to release

Will have to be Mid to early September for them not to lose a huge amount of a subscribers. A year worth of only 1 progression instance won't sit well with a majority of the community. Will just show to much failure on Blizzards part to maintain the game in a reasonable manner, and will have people move on to other games.

It's not going to be that soon. Think about it they still haven't even annouce a CE and that's always done about three or four months before it's released and that's about the time they make a hard date. The dates people have now are "soft" dates meaning that's their goal date.
