Testing Adding Damage Reduction to PvP

In Cataclysm if you have 310% speed, your 280% speed mounts will scale to 310%.
What about normal flying mounts? Do they scale to 310% also or stay at 150%? Same goes for normal ground mounts, 100% or 60%? Thanks.

From the information we have: Yes on 280% mounts scaling to 310% speed, no on the other two.

Because right now, if you have one 310% mount, that is the only one you will ever use regardless if it's your favorite looking one or not. Blizz spent a lot of time/effort to make the mount models and they want there to be some choice between using a mount purely because of it's looks vs it's speed. Originally Posted by Synthaxx

They're making all your flying mounts scale to the highest speed you have trained. Why? Because Blizzard want you to fly on the mount YOU like rather than force you to ride on a specific mount due to its speed.

Well look at it this way...
If let's say you HAVE TO PURCHASE Epic flying Training in order to PURCHASE or OWN an Epic Flying mount, maybe then they would upscale the Normal Flying ones...maybe this one will come true since they did say that once everyone got an Epic Flyer, then never bothered going back and using the Normal Flyers and I'm sure some people like the Normal flying mounts (looks) more than the Epic Flying ones, so ya. Not to mention that since we can all fly in Azeroth now, I'm sure they'll add Normal Flyers PER RACE. Hopefully...
If let's say you don't need to purchase Epic Flying Training in order to purchase or own an Epic Flying mount then everyone would just buy 1 normal flyer and then an epic flyer to upscale the normals speed to the epics and hence "game break", meaning, nobody will purchase the Epic Flying Training if this is the case, which I doubt Blizz would like this idea.
So all in all, I think either the first thing might apply or just the Epic Flyers will upscale from 280% to 310% (when you have a flyer that's 310%).
I personally still don't have a 310% mount, but meh, I'm a paly, I have Crusader Aura, my 280%s fly like 300%s

They were referring to the 280% mounts scaling to 310%. The normal, blue quality mounts will stay 150%, just like the normal blue quality ground mounts stayed 60% when you trained 100% ground speed. Originally Posted by The bearer of truths

Their not going to make it even faster because they want you to 'enjoy' the content. Otherwise they would have given you the teleporting skill which teleports u from 1 spot to another within 0.0001 second. Originally Posted by wer1207
