Your poll would be better if it was by Specs as well as classes.

Cuz Feral druid (hard) and Boomy Druid are not the same thing D:

Myself I play a ret pala for pvp (holy for pve), and even though they are easy for starters, playing good requires a good player. I run around BGs killing several people at a time with little effort, but when up in a one on one against a fairly skilled player it's a whole different story. I admit, they are easy for noob stomping, but try arena or even mildly skilled players, you won't be as comfortable.

    Paladin.
Were not confusing easy with OP tho.
But Ret Paladin pvp is basically: Stun, Buttonbash, Hand of Freedom.
My main was a paladin but I got bored of Pvping with it.

Ret is easy but it's also terrible against anyone who isn't braindead and/or in full PvE.

I voted Priest because Shadow is disgustingly FotM for a reason. It's highly effective in both BGs and 1v1 and barely requires any thought if you get a Scream or Horror off unless you're outgeared. Hunter and Elemental Shaman might also be good options, but I'm not as familiar with them. I mean, if you're talking strictly about learning curve, Ret probably wins, but you'll hardly get any results at all.

Of course, you can just roll a Druid and go Resto.

    - Dreams. What are dreams? Dreams are nothing, my brother.
    - Dreams are nothing, sister? Without dreams, there could be no despair.

I don't think there is a class that has a definetly steeper learning courve at the start, than others. They are all somewhat similar. So as long as you don't play a suboptimal spec for PvP, you should be fine.
Playing those classes good on the other hand can be harder or easier depending on class and spec, but if you are a good player, you will most likely be good with any class.

Anyway: I couldn't realy decide so I went with the obvious paladin choice, because they require very few buttons if played on an average level or below.

Im hoping you're posting this in the cataclysm thread because you're wondering which will be easiest then.

In WotLK I went for the assumption that Hunters and Paladins are the easiest, but with the new resourse systems in place I dont think this will be the case anymore. Hunters have always been the easiest to learn though and I dont think that will change.

If you want an easy pvp class, I will probably go with Hunters.

I dont know but in low lvl brackets its definetly the hunter.

How is an elemental shaman easy to play in forms of survival+output at the same time?
Never look into the eyes of a horse.
Your soul will forever be lost in the void of a horse.

Why do people still pick paladin are they really THAT butthurt from 3.0?

Aside from that, if you want to do arena, I haven't gone 10 minutes without fighting a priest team.

its always s.priest rogue, s.priest lock, s.priest etc... or disc priests.. priests in general are insanely OP in arena, and if you disagree i would have to say you've never done arena.

A few other OP classes in arena are as followed:
    Locks
    Druids
Warrior/Healer+ (To pull this off you need to have like THE best gear on warrior)
Rogues (Of course you need to actually know how to play one, OP if you're any good)
Death Knights (Let me explain, if he is geared and in 2v2(lulz) then it applies otherwise no)
    Paladin (Read Death Knight)

In about that order of OPness (lol i said oh penis)

    Retribution Paladin.

    Destruction Warlock

    Holy Paladin

    Restoration Druid.

    Harder to play:

    Enhancement Shaman

Protection Warrior - Full control of the battle if you know how to play him.

Sub Rogue - Same as Protection Warrior.
