Who's worse, Death Knights or Warlocks

As a shaman I can kill any warlock any spec. DK's.. not so much, I get demolished by any DK in some decent pvp gear.

Warlocks. They willingly use evil magic to torture and kill their enemies. Death Knights never had any control over their actions (although, as we see from the trainers in Acherus after being freed,they are still sometimes very cruel). However, people in general are ignorant. They get pissed off, they don't bother hearing all the facts, and they make some stupid, uneducated opinion on something they know nothing about. And thats why, to your average NPC, Death Knights are seen as worse, because they have done more harm to innocents.

Death Knights used to be heroes from the third war who fell in battle against the scourge and were resurrected and controlled by the lich king for his evil purposes. The death knights now claiming allegiance to the alliance/horde are trying to redeem themselves for actions they committed while being under control of the lich kings powers. It's not really evil to fight against the scourge and be controlled by the lich king, and it's definitely not evil to seek redemption for actions you committed as a puppet on a string.

Warlocks dabble in dark magic, summoning demons and draining the life and souls from those who stand in their way. Not to mention that they are doing all of this through their free will.... I suppose it could be argued that some warlocks are trying to gain their power to use it for good.

I disagree that either has to be evil, both wield simply wield powers that are considered evil, however that doesn't mean that the people wielding them are evil. Both classes demonstrate this by using their powers against enemies like the Lich King, who are clearly evil.
Granted the Death Knights didn't take up their powers willingly, but whose to say all Warlocks did? Some Orc warlocks for example must have had little choice in the past, human warlocks may have taken up their dark arts not solely out of desire for personal power but because they felt their mage powers felt short in defending their kingdom... Hell, Gnome and Goblin warlocks may have just taken up their powers in the search for knowledge and a profit.
And in the end they're all continuing using they're powers, regardless of the manner in which they were attained, nothing is stopping the Death Knights from wielding their swords in the manner Forsaken warriors do: death but without using unholy magics.

Well, I highly doubt warlocks fell to some kind of dark magic, because they are weak....I think they have full control of the magic they possess. And they control powerful demons, fully :P
And Warlocks are not Necromancers

As someone said, they kill everything that stays in their way. They have some goal and they reach it whatever it costs. Lives,souls included :P
They are indeed evil, much more than DK's...but not worse

DK's, as for NPC's I have met, respond cruely and without kindness. They are broken, free from LK's will but still with hate in their hearts dead or not. I think they don't kill for fun like warlocks
They kill to feed their hunger for vengeance

Um, have you even ever rolled a DK? A very specific starting quest chain would make it clear who is more "evil" is not even a question ... Its so bad some people remember it as the the only time they've been sad or felt unsure whether to proceed in a video game. Its so bad some people specifically will never roll a DK because of it!

But seriously, death knights after they turned against the Lich King are like "fighting fire with fire", plus they are perfectly aware what they are, and what does it mean. Chaotic Good when fighting against LK, in some causes Neutral Evil.
Meanwhile, warlocks had a caprice and wish for more power, and demons seemed an easy way for them. They do belive they are immune for the corruption, which is sometimes true, sometimes not. Neutral Evil imo, sometimes Chaotic Neutral or Lawful Evil.

Personally I voted warlocks, because they are 'evil' by their own wish.

Warlocks seem like more of a Chaotic Neutral, and Death Knights seem like Chaotic Evil.

Warlocks use dark magic for more power, but they don't use it in the wrong way, They use their power to serve the horde/alliance and use it to kill evil on the world. They are not evil, they are just jackasses that dare to use 'darker' but more powerfull magic. I voted for Death knights, because in the eyes of everyone they look more like 'monsters', Warlocks look just like any other, but death knights have blue glowing eyes, have a darker voice.

But Death knights have a moral. They kill (scourge) with a goal. Warlocks don't have specific goals, More then kill what every other class must kill to cleanse the world from evil

All Warlocks chose to be Warlocks, the same can not be said for Death Knights. Now some DKs like Farlic and Marwyn, the 2 bosses in Halls of Reflection, where soldiers of Lordaeron who served Arthas while he went on his quest to stop the Scourge. When Arthas became corupted by Frostmourne, Farlic and Marwyn willing followed Arthas down that dark path and became his first and most loyal Death Kinghts, by choice. Many others where simply people who fought against Arthas and where risen and turned after death.

Now, not all Warlocks and Death Kinghts remain evil and many fight on the side of good. But all Warlocks still chose to be Warlocks and use demonic powers so I'd say that makes them worse.

Realisticly, Death Knight's are probably looked down more than warlocks, but in all fairness, most DK's do not decide to be such, while warlocks have ahd the oppurtinity of chosing their path freely, Lich King is the one who made DK's be DK's, warlocks could be mages if they had wanted..
